JOEL
Chapter 1 ( part 1 )
1. the Word from YHVH,
2. came to Joel the son of Pethuel.
3. hear this Elders,
4. listen all inhabitants in the Land.
5. not in your days or your fathers' days,
6. so tell your sons about this.
7. your sons their sons and their sons,
8. for the next generations.
9. what the gnawing locust has left,
10. the swarming locust has eaten.
11. what the swarming locust has left,
12. the creeping locust has eaten.
13. what the creeping locust has left,
14. the stripping locust has eaten.
15. awake drunkards and weep,
16. wail all you wine drinkers.
17. {{ on account of the sweet wine that is cut off from your mouth.}
18. for a nation will invaded HIS Land,
19. mighty and without number.
20. the teeth are the teeth of a lion,
21. the fangs of a lioness.
22. they will make HIS Vine a waste,
23. HIS Fig Tree into splinters.
24. they will strip them bare and cast them away,
25. their branches will become white.
26. wail like a virgin girded in sackcloth,
27. like for the death of her husband in her youth.
28. the Grain Offering with a Libation will be cut off from the House for YHVH.
29. the Priests will mourn with the attendants for YHVH.
30. for the fields will be ruined,
31. the Land will mourn.
32. the grain is ruined,
33. the new wine dries up and the fresh oil fails.
34. be ashamed farmers and wail vinedressers,
35. the wheat barley and harvest in the field will be destroyed.
36. the vine dries up and the fig tree fails,
37. the pomegranate and the palm.
38. {{ also the apple tree.}
39. all the trees in the field will dried up,
40. indeed rejoicing will dry up from the sons of men.
41. gird yourselves in sackcloth and lament Priests,
42. wail attendants for the Altar.
43. come spend the night in sackcloth attendants for our CREATOR,
44. for the Grain Offering with a Libation will be withheld from the
House of our CREATOR. ]
45. consecrate a fast,
46. proclaim a solemn assembly.
47. gather the Elders and all the inhabitants of the Land,
48. to the House for YHVH your CREATOR.
49. cry out to YHVH,
50. alas for the Day.
51. the Day of YHVH is near,
52. the coming destruction is from Thee ALMIGHTY.
53. the Food will be cut off before our eyes?
54. gladness and joy from the House for our CREATOR?
55. the seeds shrivel under their clods,
56. the storehouses will be desolate.
57. the barns will be torn down,
58. the grain will dry up.
59. how the beasts groan,
60. the herds and cattle wander aimlessly.
61. because there is no pasture,
62. even the flocks and sheep suffer.
63. to YOU YHVH i cry,
64. for a fire will devour the pastures of the wilderness.
65. {{ the flames will burn up all the trees in the field.}
66. even the beasts in the field will pant,
67. for the water brooks will dry up.
68. fire will devour the pastures in the wilderness,
69. blow a trumpet for Zion.
70. sound an alarm on HIS Holy Mountain,
71. let all the inhabitants of the Land tremble.
72. the Day of YHVH is coming,
73. surely this is near.
74. a Day of Darkness and Gloom,
75. a Day of Clouds with Thick Darkness.
76. as dawn spreads over the mountains,
77. {{ so are HIS Great and Mighty People.}
78. there has never been anything like this,
79. nor will there be again.
80. after this for years,
81. for many generations.
82. a fire consumes before them,
83. behind them the flames burn.
84. {{ for the Land was like the garden of Eden before them}
85. a desolate wilderness behind them,
86. for nothing at all escapes.
87. their appearance will be like the appearance of horses,
88. like war horses they run with the noise of chariots.
89. they will leap on the tops of the mountains,
90. like the crackling of a flame.
91. as a fire to consume the stubble,
92. a mighty people arranged for battle.
93. before them the people are in anguish,
94. all faces turn pale.
95. they run like mighty men,
96. they climb walls like soldiers.
97. they each march in line,
98. nor do they deviate from their paths.
99. they do not crowd each other,
100. they march everyone in his path.
101. when they burst through the defenses,
102. they do not break ranks yet rush on to the City.
103. they run on the Walls to climb into the houses,
104. they enter through the windows like a thief.
105. before them the earth quakes,
106. the heavens will tremble.
107. the sun and moon will grow dark,
108. the stars lose their brightness.
109. YHVH will Utter HIS Voice {{ before HIS Army,
110. surely HIS Camp is Very Great.
111. for strong are they who carry out HIS Word,}
112. the Day of YHVH is indeed Great and Very Awesome.
Chapter 1 ( part 2 ) 2:11
113. who can endure?
114. yet even now Declares YHVH.
115. return to HIM with all your heart,
116. fast weep or mourn.
117. render your heart and not your garments,
118. return to YHVH our CREATOR.
119. for HE is Gracious and Compassionate,
120. Slow to Anger and Abounding with Lovingkindness.
121. as the Comforter of Evil who knows whether HE will turn to Comfort,
122. or leave a Blessing behind.
123. a Grain Offering with a Libation,
124. to YHVH our CREATOR.
125. blow a trumpet in Zion and consecrate a fast,
126. proclaim a solemn assembly.
127. gather the people,
128. Sanctify the congregation.
129. assemble the Elders,
130. gather the children and nursing infants.
131. let the bridegroom come out of his room,
132. the bride out of her chamber.
133. let the Priests for YHVH serve HIM,
134. weep between the Porch and Altar.
135. let them say spare YOUR People YHVH,
136. do not make YOUR Inheritance a reproach.
137. or as a byword among the nations,
138. why do the peoples say where is our CREATOR?
Chapter 1 ( part 3 ) 2:18
1. {{ for YHVH will be Zealous for HIS Land.
2. having Pity on HIS People.
3. YHVH will Answer Saying to HIS People.
4. behold HE going to send you grain new wine and oil.
5. you will be satisfied for HE will never do this again,
6. making you a reproach among the nations.
7. HE will remove the northerners far from you.
8. HE will drive them into parched and desolate lands.
9. their vanguard into the eastern sea.
10. their rear guard into the western sea.
11. their stench will arise.
12. their foul smell will come up for they have done great things.
13. do not fear Land.
14. rejoice and be glad for YHVH will Do Great Things.
15. do not fear the beasts in the field.
16. for the pastures of the wilderness have turned green.
17. for the trees will bear fruit.
18. the fig trees and the vines will yielded in full.
19. rejoice sons of Zion.
20. be glad in YHVH.
21. your CREATOR will Give you early rain for your vindication.
22. HE will pour down the rains early and latter rains as before.
23. as the threshing floors are be full of grain.
24. the vats will overflow with the new wine and oil.
25. he will make up to you for the years that the swarming locust has eaten.
26. the creeping locust the stripping locust and the gnawing locust.
27. the great army which HE sent among you.
28. so you will have plenty to eat and be satisfied.
29. praise the Name YHVH.
30. your CREATOR will Deal Wondrously.}
Chapter 2 2:26.2
1. MY People will never be put to shame,
2. you will know I AM in the midst of Israel.
3. I AM YHVH your CREATOR there is no other,
4. for MY People will never be put to shame.
5. this will come about after this,
6. I will pour out MY SPIRIT on all man.
7. your sons and daughters will Prophesy,
8. your old men will dream dreams and your young men will see visions.
9. even on the male and female servants,
10. I will pour out MY SPIRIT in those days.
11. I will display Wonders in the sky,
12. on earth blood fire and columns of smoke.
13. the sun will be turned into darkness,
14. the moon into blood.
15. before the Great and Awesome Day,
16. for YHVH Comes.
17. {{ coming about whoever calls on the Name YHVH.
18. I will Deliver Mount Zion and Jerusalem.
19. those who escape as YHVH Said.
20. even among the survivors whom YHVH Calls.
21. behold in those days.
22. a time when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem.}
23. I will gather all the nations,
24. bringing them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. ]
25. I will enter into Judgment with them there,
26. {{ on behalf of MY People}
27. for MY Inheritance Israel whom they scatter among the nations.
28. for they divide up MY Land,
29. and cast lots for MY People.
30. they trade a boy for a harlot,
31. and sell a girl for wine to drink.
32. moreover what are you to ME tyre and sidon?
33. all the regions of philistia are you rendering ME a repayment?
34. if you do repay ME do swiftly and speedily,
35. for I will return your repayment on your head.
36. since you have taken MY Silver and MY Gold,
37. and brought MY Precious Treasures to your temples.
38. you sold the sons of Judah and Jerusalem to the greeks,
39. in order to remove them far from their territory.
40. behold I AM going to arouse them from the place where you have sold them,
41. and return your repayment on your head.
42. I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hand of the sons of Judah,
43. they will sell them to the sabeans that distant nation for YHVH has Spoken.
Chapter 3 3:9
1. proclaim this among the nations,
2. prepare for war.
3. rouse the mighty men,
4. all soldiers draw near and come up.
5. beat your plowshares into swords,
6. your pruning hooks into spears.
7. let the weak say i am a mighty male,
8. hasten and come all you surrounding nations.
9. gather yourselves here,
10. to bring down YHVH's Mighty Ones.
11. let the nations be aroused,
12. come up to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. ]
13. there I will Sit Judging all the surrounding nations,
14. I will put in a sickle as the harvest ripens.
15. come tread for the wine press will be full,
16. the vats overflow for their wickedness is great.
17. multitudes and multitudes in the Valley of Decision,
18. the Day of YHVH is near in the Valley of Decision.
19. the sun and moon will grow dark,
20. the stars will lose their brightness.
21. I YHVH will Roar for Zion,
22. Uttering MY Voice for Jerusalem.
23. {{ the heavens and earth will tremble.}
24. I YHVH AM a Refuge for MY People,
25. a Stronghold for the sons of Israel.
26. you will know I AM YHVH your CREATOR,
27. Dwelling in Zion and on MY Holy Mountain.
28. Jerusalem will be Holy,
29. for strangers will pass through no more.
30. {{ this is coming about in that Day,
31. the mountains will drip with sweet wine.
32. and the hills will flow with milk.
33. all the brooks of Judah will flow with water,
34. springs will go out from the House for YHVH.
35. watering the valley of shittim.
36. egypt will become a waste,
37. edom will become a desolate wilderness.
38. because of the violence done to the sons of Judah.
39. in whose Land they have shed innocent blood.
40. Judah will be inhabited forever.
41. Jerusalem for all generations.
42. I will avenge their blood which I have not avenged.
43. for YHVH Dwells in Zion.}
AMOS
Chapter 1
1. the words of Amos who was among the sheepherders from tekoa.
2. which he envisioned in visions concerning Israel.
3. in the days of Uzziah king of Judah.
4. in the days of jeroboam son of Joash king of Israel 2 years before
the earthquake.
5. {{ saying YHVH WHO Roars from Zion.
6. from Jerusalem HE Utters HIS Voice.
7. the shepherds' pasturing ground mourns.
8. the summit of carmel dries up.}
9. thus Says YHVH for the 3 transgressions of damascus.
10. for the 4th I will not revoke this.
11. because they threshed gilead with sharp iron.
12. I will send fire upon the house of hazael consuming the citadels
of ben-hadad.
13. I will break the bars of damascus.
14. cutting off the inhabitants from the valley of aven.
15. who holds the scepter from beth-eden.
16. for the people of aram will go exiled from kir Says YHVH.
17. thus Says YHVH for the 3 transgressions of gaza.
18. for the 4th I will not revoke this.
19. because they deported an entire population to deliver them up to edom.
20. I will send fire upon the walls of gaza consuming her citadels.
21. I will cut off the inhabitant from ashdod.
22. who holds the scepter from ashkelon.
23. I will even unleash MY Power upon ekron.
24. the remnant of the philistines will perish Says LORD YHVH.

27. because they delivered up an entire population to edom,

29. I will send fire upon the wall of tyre consuming her citadels.
30. thus Says YHVH for the 3 transgressions of edom.

32. because he pursued his brother with the sword.
33. while he stifled his compassion.
34. for his anger tore continually.
35. he maintained his fury. {{ forever}
36. I will send fire upon teman.
37. consuming the citadels of bozrah.
38. thus Says YHVH for the 3 transgressions of the sons of ammon.

40. because they ripped open the pregnant women of gilead in order to
enlarge their borders. ]
41. I will kindle a fire on the walls of rabbah consuming her citadels.
42. war cries on the Day of Battle.
43. a storm on the Day of Tempest.
44. their king will go into exile.
45. he and his princes together Says YHVH.
46. thus Says YHVH for the 3 transgressions of moab.
47. for the 4th I will not revoke this.
48. because he burned the bones of the king of edom to lime.
49. I will send fire upon moab consuming the citadels of kerioth.
50. moab will die amid the tumult of war cries.
51. at the sound of the trumpet.
52. I will cut off the judge from her midst.
53. slaying all her princes with him Says YHVH.
54. thus Says YHVH for the 3 transgressions of Judah.
55. for the 4th I will not revoke this.
56. because they rejected the Laws of YHVH.
57. for not keeping MY Statutes.
58. their lies have led them astray.
59. after which their fathers walked.
60. I will send fire upon Judah.
61. consuming the citadels of Jerusalem.
62. thus Says YHVH for the 3 transgressions of Israel.
63. for the 4th I will not revoke.
64. because they sell the righteous for money.
65. the needy for a pair of sandals.
66. whom trample upon to put the dust of earth on the head of the helpless.
67. they turn aside the way of the humble.
68. a male and his father resort to the same girl.
69. in order to profane MY HOLY Name.
70. garments are taken as pledges.
71. they bow beside every altar.
72. in the House for the CREATOR they drink wine.
73. from those who have been condemned.
74. I destroyed the amorite before them.
75. though his height was like the height of cedars.
76. he was strong as the oaks.
77. yet I destroyed his fruit above and the root below.
78. I Brought you from the land of egypt.
79. I Led you in the wilderness 40 years.
80. I took possession of the Land of the amorite.
81. raised some of your sons to be Prophets.
82. some of your young men to be Nazirites.
83. is this not so sons of Israel Declares YHVH?
84. you made the Nazirites drink wine.
85. commanded the Prophets saying you shall not Prophesy.
86. behold I AM weighted down on account of you.
87. as a wagon is weighted down when filled with sheaves.
88. {{ flight will perish from the swift.}
89. the strong will not strengthen his power,
90. nor the mighty male save his life.
91. he who grasps the bow will not stand.
92. the swift of foot will not escape.
93. nor will he who rides the horse save his life.
94. even the bravest among the warriors will flee naked in that Day Declares YHVH.
Chapter 2 3:1
1. hear this Word which YHVH has Spoken,
2. this is against you sons of Israel.
3. against the entire family,
4. which HE Brought from the land of egypt.
5. only you have I Chosen among all the families of earth.
6. therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.
7. do 2 men walk together,
8. unless they have made an agreement?
9. does a lion roar in the forest,
10. when he has no prey?
11. does a young lion growl from his den,
12. unless he has captured?
13. does a bird fall into a trap on the ground,
14. when there is no bait?
15. does a trap spring from the earth,
16. to capture nothing at all?
17. if a trumpet is blown in a city,
18. will not the people tremble?
19. if a calamity occurs in a city has not YHVH done this?
20. surely LORD YHVH does neither.
21. unless HE reveals HIS Secret Counsel to HIS Servants the Prophets.
22. like a lion roaring who will not fear?
23. LORD YHVH Spoke.
24. and WHO Did Prophesy.
25. Proclaiming on the citadels in ashdod.
26. on the citadels in the land of egypt.
27. Saying assemble yourselves on the mountains of samaria.
28. see the great tumults within her for oppression is in her midst.
29. they do not know how to do what is right Declares YHVH.
30. these who hoard up violence with devastation in their citadels.
31. therefore thus Says LORD YHVH to the enemy around about the Land.
32. I will pull down your strength and your citadels will be plundered.
33. thus Says YHVH just as the shepherd snatches from the lion's mouth.
34. a couple of legs or a piece of an ear.
35. so will the sons of Israel dwelling in samaria be snatched away.
36. a corner of a bed and the cover of a couch.
Chapter 3 4:1
1. hear and testify against the house of Jacob.
2. Declares LORD YHVH CREATOR of Hosts.
3. the Day I punish Israel for their transgressions.
4. I will punish the altars of bethel.
5. the Horns of the Altar will be cut off falling to the ground.
6. I will smite the winter house together with the summer house.
7. the houses with ivory will perish.
8. the great houses will come to an end Declares YHVH.
9. hear this Word you cows of bashan.
10. who are on the mountain of samaria.
11. who oppress the poor and crush the needy.
12. who say to your husbands bring now that we may drink.
13. LORD YHVH has Sworn by HIS HOLINESS.
14. behold the days are coming upon you.
15. when they will take you away with meat hooks.
16. even the last of you with fish hooks.
17. {{ you will go out by the breaches.
18. each one in front.
19. before her you will be cast to harmon Declares YHVH.

21. multiplying in your transgressions.
22. you bring your Sacrifices every morning.

26. so you love to do sons of Israel Declares LORD YHVH.
27. I Gave you un-cleanness of teeth in all your cities.
28. a lack of bread in all your places.
29. yet you have not returned to ME Declares YHVH.
30. furthermore I withheld the rain from you.
31. while there were still 3 months until harvest.
32. I would send rain on 1 city.
33. on another city I would not send rain.
34. 1 part would be rained on while the part not rained on would dry up.
35. so 2 or 3 cities would stagger to another city to drink water.
36. so you would not be satisfied.
37. yet you did not return to ME Declares YHVH.
38. I smote you with scorching wind and mildew.
39. the caterpillar devoured your many gardens.
40. the vineyards fig trees and olive trees.
41. yet you have not returned to ME Declares YHVH.
42. I sent a plague among you after the manner of egypt.
43. I slew your young men by the sword along with your captured horses.
44. I made the stench in your camp to rise up your nostrils.
45. yet you have not returned to ME Declares YHVH.
46. I overthrew you as your CREATOR.
47. overthrowing you like sodom and gomorrah.
48. you were like a firebrand snatched from a blaze.
49. yet you have not returned to ME Declares YHVH.
50. therefore thus I will Do to you.
51. Israel because I shall Do This.
52. are you prepare to meet your CREATOR Israel?
53. behold I WHO form mountains and creates the wind.
54. Declaring to man what are MY Thoughts.
55. I WHO Makes dawn from darkness.
56. treading on the high places of earth.
57. YHVH the CREATOR of Hosts is MY Name.
58. hear this Word which I take up.
59. a dirge for the house of Israel.
60. she has fallen and she will not rise again.
61. {{ virgin Israel has neglected her Land}
62. there is none to raise her up.
63. thus Says LORD YHVH to the City which will go forth.
64. of a 1,000 a 100 left.
65. as 1 which goes forth of a 100,
66. 10 will be left in the house of Israel.
67. thus Says YHVH to the house of Israel.
68. seek ME that you may live.
69. seek not at bethel.
70. do not come to gilgal.
71. nor cross over to beersheba.
72. for gilgal will certainly go into captivity.
73. bethel will come to trouble.
74. seek YHVH that you may live.
75. lest I break forth like a fire on the house of Joseph.
76. consuming with none to quench.
77. as bethel who turned justice into wormwood.
78. casting righteousness down to the ground.
79. I AM WHO Made the pleiades and orion.
80. I AM WHO changes deep darkness into morning.
81. I AM WHO darkens day into night.
82. I AM WHO Calls the waters for the sea.
83. pouring them out on the face of the earth.
84. YHVH is MY Name.
85. I AM WHO flash forth destruction upon the strong.
86. so destruction comes upon the Fortress.
87. they hate him who reproves them in the gate.
88. they who abhor him who speaks with integrity.
89. therefore because you impose heavy rent on the poor.
90. exacting a tribute of grain from them.
91. you have built houses of hewn stone.
92. yet you will not live in them.
93. you have planted pleasant vineyards.
94. yet you will not drink their wine.
95. I Know your transgressions are many.
96. your sins are great you who distress the Righteous.
97. accepting bribes and turning aside the poor at the gate.
98. therefore at such a time the wise keep silent in evil times.
99. {{ seek good and not evil that you may live.
100. thus may YHVH the CREATOR of Hosts be with you just as you have said.
101. hate evil and love good to establish justice in the gate.
102. perhaps YHVH the CREATOR of Hosts may be Gracious to the remnant of Joseph.}
Chapter 4 5:16
1. therefore thus Says YHVH the CREATOR of Hosts our LORD.
2. there is wailing in all the square.
3. in all the streets they say alas alas.
4. call on the farmer to mourn.
5. skilful mourners are to wail.
6. in all the vineyards there is wailing.
7. because I shall pass through the midst of you Says YHVH.
8. alas you who are longing for the Day of YHVH.
9. what purpose is the Day of YHVH?
10. for darkness not light.
11. as when a male flees from a lion and a bear meets him.
12. or he goes home and leans his hand against the wall and a snake bites him.
13. will not the Day of YHVH be darkness instead of light?
14. even as gloom with no brightness.
15. I Hate and Reject your festivals.
16. nor do I Delight in your solemn assemblies.
17. even though you Offer to ME Burnt Offerings and your Grain Offerings.
18. I will not accept them for I will not look at the Peace Offerings
of your fatlings.
19. take away from ME the noise of your songs.
20. I will not even listen to the sound of your harps.
21. let justice roll down like waters.
22. righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.
23. did you present ME with Sacrifices and Grain Offerings?
24. in the wilderness for 40 years?
25. house of Israel you carried along sikkuth their king.

27. that which you have made for yourselves.
28. therefore I will Make you go into exile beyond damascus.
29. Says YHVH the Name of the CREATOR of Hosts.
30. woe to those who are at ease in Zion.
31. those who are secure in the mountain of samaria.
32. like distinguished men in the foremost of nations.
33. to whom the house of Israel will come.
34. going over to calneh to see.
35. going from there to hamath the great.
36. then went down to gath of the philistines.
37. are they better than these kingdoms?
38. or is their territory greater than yours?
39. do you put off the Day of Calamity?
40. yet you bring near the Seat of Violence.
41. those who recline on beds of ivory.
42. and spread on their couches.
43. eating lambs from the flock.
44. calves from the midst of the stall.
45. who improvise to the sound of the harp.
46. like David composing songs for themselves.
47. who drinks wine from sacrificial bowls.
48. while they anoint themselves with the finest of oils.
49. yet they have not grieved over the ruin of Joseph.
50. therefore they will now go into exile.
51. their leaders with the exiles.
52. a flowing of mourning passing away.
53. LORD YHVH has Sworn to HIMSELF.
54. YHVH the CREATOR of Hosts has Declared.
55. I Loathe the arrogance of Jacob and Detest his citadels.
56. I will Deliver up the City with all the multitude.
57. if 10 men are left in 1 house they will die.
58. then one's uncle or undertaker will lift carrying his bones from the house.
59. saying to the one who is in the innermost part of the house.
60. is anyone else with you and that one says no.
61. this one then spoke keep quiet.
62. the Name YHVH is not to be mentioned.
63. behold YHVH is Commanding.
64. the Great House will be smashed to pieces and the small house to fragments.
65. do horses run on rocks?
66. or does one plow them with oxen?
67. yet you have turned Justice into poison.
68. {[ fruit} Righteousness into wormwood.
69. {{ you who rejoice in lo-debar.
70. saying have we not by our own strength taken karnaim for ourselves?
71. behold I AM going to raise up a nation against you house of Israel
Declares YHVH the CREATOR of Hosts.
72. they will afflict you from the entrance of hamath to the brook of the arabah.}
Chapter 5 7:1
1. thus LORD YHVH Showed me.
2. behold HE was forming the locust.
3. as the spring crop began to sprout.
4. behold the spring crop was like that after the king's mowing.
5. came about when they had finished.
6. eaten was the vegetation of the Land.
7. i said LORD YHVH please pardon.
8. how can Jacob stand for he is small?
9. YHVH Changed HIS Mind about this Said YHVH.
10. thus LORD YHVH than Showed me.
11. behold LORD YHVH was Calling to contend with them by fire.
12. this consumed their great mass and began to consume the farm Land.
13. then i said LORD YHVH please stop.
14. how can Jacob stand for he is small?
15. YHVH Changed HIS Mind about this.
16. this to shall not be Said LORD YHVH.
17. thus HE Showed me and behold.

Chapter 6 7:10
1. amaziah the priest at bethel.
2. sent word to jeroboam king of Israel.
3. saying Amos has conspired against you in the midst of the house of Israel.
4. the Land is unable to endure all his words.
5. thus Amos said jeroboam will die by the sword.
6. Israel will certainly go from this Land into exile.
7. amaziah said Amos go you Seer.
8. flee away to the Land of Judah.
9. there eat bread and there do your Prophesying.
10. no longer Prophesy at bethel for this is a sanctuary of the king
and a royal residence.

14. YHVH took me from following the flock.

20. your wife will become a harlot in the City.
21. your sons and your daughters will fall by the sword.

23. you yourself will die upon unclean soil.
24. Israel will certainly go from this Land into exile.
Chapter 7 8:1
1. thus LORD YHVH showed me.
2. behold there was a basket of summer fruit.
3. HE Said what do you see Amos?
4. i said a basket of summer fruit.
5. YHVH Said the end has come.
6. MY People Israel I will spare them no longer.
7. the songs of the palace will turn to wailing.
8. in that Day Proclaims LORD YHVH.
9. many will be the corpses in every place.

11. hear this you who trample the needy.
12. doing away with the humble of the Land.
13. saying when will the new moon be over.
14. that we may sell grain on the Sabbath.
15. that we may open the wheat market.
16. making the bushel smaller the shekel bigger.
17. to cheat with dishonest scales.
18. so as to buy the helpless for money.
19. the needy for a pair of sandals.
20. and selling the refuse of wheat.
21. YHVH has Sworn by the pride of Jacob.
22. indeed I will never forget any of their deeds.
23. because of this will not the Land quake?
24. so everyone who dwells in will mourn?
25. all of this will rise up like the nile.
26. to subside like the nile of egypt.
27. this will come about in that Day.
28. Proclaiming LORD YHVH.
29. the sun will go down at noon.
30. making the earth dark in broad daylight.
31. I shall turn your festivals into mourning.
32. all your songs into lamentation.
33. I will bring sackcloth on everyone's loins.
34. baldness on every head.
35. I will make this like a mourning for an only son.
36. the end will be a Bitter Day.
37. for behold the days are coming Declares LORD YHVH.
38. I will send a famine on the Land.
39. not a famine for bread or a thirst for water.
40. rather for hearing the Words of YHVH.
41. people will stagger from sea to sea.
42. north even to the south. {{ east}
43. they will go to and fro.
44. seeking the Word from YHVH yet not finding.
45. in those days the beautiful virgins and the young men will faint of thirst. ]

Chapter 8 9:1
1. i saw the LORD Standing beside the Altar,
2. Saying smite the capitals so the thresholds shake.
3. breaking them on the heads of them all,
4. I will slay the rest of them with the sword.
5. they will not have a fugitive who will flee,
6. or a refugee who will escape.
7. though they dig into sheol,
8. from there MY Hand takes them.
9. though they ascend to the heavens,
10. from there I bring them down.
11. though they hide on the summit of carmel,
12. I will search out taking them from there.
13. though they conceal themselves from MY Sight on the floor of the sea,
14. from there I will Command the serpent to bite them.
15. though they will go into captivity before their enemies,
16. from there I will Command the sword to slay them.
17. I will set MY Eyes against them for evil and not for good, ]

24. pouring them out on the face of earth YHVH is HIS Name.
25. are you not as the sons of ethiopia to ME sons of Israel Declares YHVH,
26. have I not Brought Up Israel from the land of egypt?

29. behold the Eyes of LORD YHVH are on this sinful kingdom,

31. nevertheless I will not totally destroy the house of Jacob Declares YHVH,

34. as shaken in a sieve yet not a kernel will fall to the ground.
35. all the sinners of MY People will die by the sword.
36. those who say the calamity will not overtake or confront us.
37. that Day I will raise up the fallen booth of David,
38. walling up the breaches.
39. I will raise up the Ruins,
40. rebuild as in the days of old.
41. that they may possess the remnant of edom and all the nations,
42. who are called by MY Name.
43. so Declares YHVH WHO will Perform This,
44. behold the days are coming Declares YHVH.
45. when the Plowman will overtake the reaper,
46. the Treader of Grapes before he who sows seed.
47. the mountains will drip with the Sweet Wine,
48. all the hills will be dissolved.
49. I will restore the captivity of MY People Israel,
50. they will rebuild the ruined cities to live in them.
51. they will plant vineyards and drink their wine,
52. making gardens and eat their fruit.
53. I will also plant them on their Land,
54. they will not again be rooted out from their Land which I have Given

OBADIAH
1. vision of Obadiah
2. thus Says LORD YHVH.
3. concerning edom.
4. i heard a report from YHVH.
5. an envoy has been sent among the nations.
6. saying arise let us go against them for battle.
7. behold I will Make you small among the nations.
8. for you are greatly despised.
9. the arrogance of your heart has deceived you.
10. you who live in the clefts of the rock.
11. in the loftiness of your dwelling place who say in your heart.
12. who will bring me down on earth?
13. though you build high like the eagle.
14. as though you set your nest among the stars.
15. from there I will bring you down Declares YHVH.
16. as if thieves came to you.
17. as robbers in the night.
18. how you will be ruined.
19. they will not stop stealing until they had enough.
20. as if grape gatherers came so as not to leave a gleaning.
21. how esau will be ransacked.
22. his hidden treasures searched out.
23. all the men allied with you will send you forth to the border.
24. men at peace with you will deceive you and overpower you.
