Chapter 1 ( part 1 )
1. there was a male in the land of uz,
2. whose name was Job.
3. a male blameless and upright,
4. fearing the CREATOR by turning away from evil.
5. he had 7 sons and 3 daughters born to him,
6. of his possessions also were 7,000 sheep.
7. 3,000 camels 500 yoke of oxen,
8. 500 female donkeys and very many servants.
9. for that male was the greatest of all men to the east,
10. his sons used to go and hold a feast in their house.
11. each one on his day,
12. they would send to invite their 3 sisters to eat and drink with them.
13. came when the days of feasting had completed their cycle,
14. Job would send for them and consecrate them.
15. rising up early in the morning,
16. Offering Burnt Offerings for the number of them all.
17. for Job thoughts were perhaps my sons have sinned or cursed the CREATOR in their hearts.
18. so Job did this continually.
19. now there was a day when the Sons of the CREATOR came to Him,
20. to present Themselves before YHVH.
21. satan also came among them,
22. YHVH Said satan from where do you come?
23. satan answered YHVH,
24. saying from roaming about on earth and walking around on it.
25. YHVH Said satan have you considered My Servant Job?
26. for there is no one like him on earth.
27. a blameless and upright male,
28. fearing the CREATOR by turning away from evil.
29. satan answered YHVH,
30. does Job fear the CREATOR for nothing?
31. have You not made a hedge about him and his house?
32. all he has on every side?
33. You have Blessed the work from his hands,
34. his possessions have increased in the land.
35. but put forth Your Hand now and touch all he has,
36. he will surely curse You to Your Face.
37. YHVH Said satan behold,
38. all he has is in your power.
39. only do not put forth your hand on him,
40. so satan departed from the Presence of YHVH.
41. now this happened on that day,
42. as his sons and his daughters were eating and drinking wine.
43. they were in the older brother's house,
44. a messenger came to Job.
45. said the oxen were plowing and the donkeys feeding beside them,
46. when the sabeans attacked and took them.
47. they also slew the servants with the edge of the sword,
48. i alone have escaped to tell you.
49. while he was still speaking another also came,
50. said the fire of the CREATOR fell from heaven.
51. burned up the sheep and the servants consuming them,
52. i alone have escaped to tell you.
53. while he was still speaking another also came,
54. said the chaldeans formed 3 bands and made a raid on the camels.
55. they took them and slew the servants with the edge of the sword,
56. i alone have escaped to tell you.
57. {{while he was still speaking another also came,
58. said your sons and your daughters were eating and drinking wine in their older brother's house.
59. behold a great wind came from across the wilderness
60. striking the 4 corners of the house and it fell on the young people and they died,
61. i alone have escaped to tell you.}
62. then Job arose and tore his robe and shaved his head,
63. he fell to the ground and worshiped.
64. he said naked i came from my mother's womb,
65. naked i shall return there.
66. YHVH gave and YHVH has taken away,
67. blessed be the Name YHVH.
68. through all this Job did not sin,
69. nor did he blame the CREATOR.
Chapter 1 ( part 2 )
1. again there was a day when the Sons of the CREATOR came to present Themselves before YHVH,
2. satan also came among them to present himself before YHVH.
3. YHVH Said satan where have you come from?
4. satan answered YHVH saying from roaming about on earth and walking around.
5. YHVH Said satan have you considered My Servant Job?
6. for there is no one like him on earth a blameless and upright male.
7. fearing the CREATOR by turning away from evil,
8. he still holds fast to his integrity although you incited Me against him to ruin him without cause.
9. satan answered YHVH saying skin for skin yes,
10. all that a male has he will give for his life.
11. however put forth Your Hand now to touch his bone and his flesh,
12. he will curse You to Your Face.
13. YHVH Said satan behold he is in your power only spare his life,
14. then satan went out from the Presence of YHVH.
15. then he smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head,
16. he took a potsherd to scrape himself while he was sitting among the ashes.
17. then his wife said do you still hold fast to your integrity yet curse the CREATOR and die,
18. he said you speak as one of the foolish women speaks.
19. shall we indeed accept good from the CREATOR and not accept adversity,
20. in all this Job did not sin with his lips.
Chapter 1 ( part 3 )
1. now when Job's 3 friends heard of all this adversity had come upon him,
2. they came each one from his own place.
3. Eliphaz the temanite Bildad the shuhite and Zophar the naamathite,
4. they made an appointment together to come to sympathize and comfort him.
5. when they lifted up their eyes at a distance they did not recognize him,
6. they raised their voices and wept.
7. each of them tore his robe,
8. threw dust over their heads and toward the sky.
9. they sat down on the ground with him for 7 days and 7 nights,
10. no one spoke a word to him.
11. they saw his pain was very great,
12. afterward Job opened his mouth and cursed the day of his birth.
13. Job said let the day perish on which i was born,
14. the night which said a boy is conceived.
15. may that day be for darkness,
16. let not GoD above care for it.
17. nor light shine so darkness and black gloom claim it,
18. for a cloud to settle on as for blackness as a the day to terrify.
19. as for that night let darkness seize it,
20. so as not to rejoice among the days of the year.
21. let it not come into the number of the months.
22. behold let that night be barren and no joyful shout enter it.
23. let those curse it,
24. as who curse the day who are prepared to rouse leviathan.
25. let the stars of its twilight be darkened,
26. as to wait for light but have none.
27. let it not see the breaking dawn,
28. because it did not shut the opening of my mother's womb to hide trouble from my eyes.
29. why did i not die at birth?
30. come forth from the womb and expire.
31. why did the knees receive me?
32. why the breasts that i should suck?
33. now i would have lain down and been in a quiet slept,
34. then i would have been at rest with kings and counselors of the earth.
35. who rebuilt the ruins for themselves,
36. or with princes who had gold and who were filling their houses with silver.
37. or like a miscarriage which is discarded,
38. as infants that never saw light.
39. there the wicked cease from raging,
40. there the weary are at rest.
41. the prisoners are at ease together,
42. they do not hear the voice of the taskmaster.
43. the small and great are there,
44. the slave is free from his master.
45. why is light given to him who suffers in life?
46. to a bitter soul who longs for death?
47. there is none that dig for it like that for hidden treasures,
48. like who rejoice greatly and exult when they find it in the grave.
49. as a male whose way is hidden,
50. Whom GoD has hedged in.
51. for my groaning comes at the sight of my food,
52. my cries pour out like water.
53. for what i fear comes upon me,
54. what i dread befalls me.
55. i am not at ease nor am i quiet,
56. i am not at rest but turmoil comes.
Chapter 1 ( part 4 )
1. then Eliphaz the temanite answered,
2. if one ventures a word with you.
3. will you become impatient?
4. for who can refrain from speaking?
5. behold you have admonished many,
6. you have strengthened weak hands.
7. your words have helped the tottering to stand,
8. you have strengthened feeble knees.
9. but now it has come to you and you are impatient,
10. it touches you and you are dismayed.
11. with no fear in your confidence,
12. by the integrity of your ways is your hope.
13. remember now who has ever perished being innocent?
14. where were the upright destroyed?
15. what i have seen of those who plow have iniquity,
16. those who sow trouble harvest it.
17. by the Breath of GoD they perish,
18. by the blast of His Anger they come to an end.
19. the roaring of the lion and the voice of the fierce lion,
20. the teeth of the young lions are broken.
21. the lion perishes for lack of prey,
22. the whelps of the lioness are scattered.
23. now a word was brought to me stealthily,
24. my ear received a whisper of it.
25. amid disquieting thoughts from the visions of the night,
26. when deep sleep falls on man.
27. dread came upon me and i was trembling,
28. it made all my bones shake.
29. then a spirit passed by my face,
30. the hair of my flesh bristled up.
31. it stood still but i could not discern its appearance,
32. a form was before my eyes with silence as i heard a voice.
33. can man be just before GoD?
34. can a male be pure before his Maker?
35. He puts no trust even in His Servants,
36. against His Angels He Charges error.
37. how much more those who dwell in houses from clay?
38. whose foundation is dust.
39. crushed before the moth-eaten,
40. between morning and evening.
41. they are broken in pieces,
42. unobserved they perish forever.
43. is not their tent-cord plucked up within them,
44. they die yet without wisdom.
45. call now for is there anyone who will answer you?
46. to which of the holy ones will you turn?
47. for anger slays the foolish male,
48. jealousy kills the simple.
49. i have seen the foolish taking root,
50. i cursed his abode immediately.
51. his sons are far from safety,
52. even they are oppressed in the gate for there is no deliverer.
53. his harvest the hungry devour and take,
54. the thorns of the schemer is eager for his wealth.
55. for affliction does not come from the dust,
56. nor does trouble sprout from the ground.
57. for a male is born for trouble like sparks flying upward,
58. i seek GOD to establish order.
59. the CREATOR Who Does Great and Unsearchable Things,
60. Wonders without number.
61. He Gives rain on the earth,
62. sends water on the fields.
63. He sets on high those who are lowly,
64. those who mourn are lifted to safety.
65. He frustrates the plotting of the shrewd,
66. so their hands cannot attain success.
67. He captures the wise by their own shrewdness,
68. the advice of the cunning is quickly thwarted.
69. by day they meet with darkness,
70. they grope at noon as in the night.
71. yet He Saves the sword from their mouth,
72. the poor from the hand of the mighty.
73. the helpless has hope,
74. the unrighteous must shut their mouth.
75. behold how happy is the male whom GoD reproves,
76. so do not despise the discipline of the ALMIGHTY.
77. He inflicts pain and gives relief,
78. He wounds and His Hands will heal.
79. from 6 troubles He will Deliver you,
80. even in 7 evil will not touch you.
81. in famine He will Redeem you from death,
82. in war from the power of the sword.
83. you will be hidden from the scourge of the tongue,
84. you will not be afraid of violence when it comes.
85. you will laugh at violence and famine,
86. you will not be afraid of wild beasts.
87. for you will be in league with the stones in the field,
88. the beasts in the field will be at peace with you.
89. you will know that your tent is secure,
90. for you will visit your abode and fear no loss.
91. you will know also that your descendants will be many,
92. your offspring as the grass of the earth.
93. you will come to the grave in full vigor,
94. like the stacking of grain in its season.
95. behold this we have investigated,
96. so hear it and know for yourself.
Chapter 1 ( part 5 )
1. then Job answered,
2. oh that my grief were actually weighed.
3. laid in the balances together with my calamity,
4. for then it would be heavier than the sand of the seas.
5. therefore my words have been rash,
6. for the arrows of the ALMIGHTY are within me.
7. their poison my spirit drinks,
8. the terrors of GoD are arrayed against me.
9. does the wild donkey bray over his grass?
10. or does the ox low over his fodder?
11. can something tasteless be eaten without salt,
12. or is there any taste in the white of an egg?
13. my soul refuses to touch them,
14. they are like loathsome food to me.
15. oh that my request might come to pass,
16. that GoD would grant my longing.
17. would GoD were willing to crush me,
18. so He would loosen His Hand and cut me off.
19. but it is still my consolation i rejoice in unsparing pain,
20. for i have not denied the Words from the HOLY ONE.
21. what is my strength that i should wait?
22. what is my end that i should endure?
23. is my strength the strength of stones?
24. or is my flesh bronze?
25. my help is not within me,
26. deliverance is driven from me.
27. for the despairing male there should be kindness from his friend,
28. so that he does not forsake the fear of the ALMIGHTY.
29. my brothers have acted deceitfully,
30. like a wadi of torrents.
31. as wadis which vanish in darkness,
32. because like ice into which the snow melts in seasons.
33. they become waterless and silent,
34. when it is hot they vanish from their place.
35. the paths of their course wind go along,
36. they go up into nothing and perish.
37. the caravans of tema looked at the travelers of sheba,
38. a hope from them and they were disappointed.
39. for they had trusted in their coming,
40. there they were confounded.
41. indeed you have now become as such,
42. for you see a terror and are afraid.
43. for have i said give for me?
44. or offer a bribe for me from your wealth?
45. so as to deliver me from the hand of the adversary,
46. or redeem me from the hand of the tyrants.
47. teach me and i will be silent,
48. show me how i have erred.
49. how painful are honest words,
50. what does your argument prove?
51. do you intend to reprove my words,
52. when the words of one in despair belong to the wind.
53. you would even cast lots for the orphans,
54. or barter over your friend?
55. now please look at me,
56. see if i lie to your face.
57. desist now is there no injustice?
58. for even you desist my righteousness.
59. yet is there injustice on my tongue?
60. cannot my palate discern calamities?
61. is not a male forced to labor on earth,
62. for his days are like the days of a hired male?
63. as a slave who pants for the shade,
64. as a hired male who eagerly waits for his wages.
65. so am i Allotted months of vanity,
66. nights of trouble are appointed me.
67. when i lie down i say when shall i arise,
68. but the night continues and i am continually tossing until dawn.
69. my flesh is clothed with worms,
70. like the crust of dirt my skin hardens and runs.
71. my days are swifter than a weaver's shuttle,
72. i come to an end without hope.
73. remember my life is but breath,
74. my eye will not again see good.
75. the eye of him who sees me,
76. will behold me no longer with his eyes.
77. as when a cloud vanishes it is gone,
78. so is he who goes down to sheol does not come up.
79. he will not return again to his house,
80. nor will his place know him anymore.
81. therefore i will not restrain my mouth,
82. i will speak in the anguish of my spirit.
83. i will complain in the bitterness of my soul,
84. for am i the sea or the sea monster that you set a guard over me?
85. for if i say my bed will comfort me,
86. my couch will ease my complaint.
87. then i am frightened with dreams,
88. terrified by visions.
89. my soul should choose suffocation of death,
90. rather than pain.
91. i waste away for i will not live forever,
92. so leave me alone for my days are but a breath.
93. what is male that You magnify him?
94. are You concerned about him?
95. You examine him every morning,
96. trying him every moment.
97. will You never turn Your Gaze away from me,
98. nor let me alone until i swallow my spittle?
99. have i sinned or what have i done to You WATCHER of men,
100. why have You set me as Your target?
101. so i am a burden to myself?
102. why then do You not Pardon my transgression to take away my iniquity?
103. for now i will lie down in the dust,
104. You will seek me but i will not be.
Chapter 1 ( part 6 )
1. then Bildad the shuhite answered.
2. how long will you say these things?
3. the words of your mouth are like a mighty wind.
4. does GOD pervert justice?
5. or does the ALMIGHTY pervert what is right?
6. if your sons sinned against Him,
7. He Delivered them into the power of their transgression.
8. rather seek GOD,
9. implore Compassion from the ALMIGHTY.
10. if you are pure and upright,
11. surely now He would rouse Himself for you.
12. restore your righteous estate,
13. though your beginning was insignificant yet your end will increase greatly.
14. please inquire of past generations,
15. consider the things searched out by our fathers.
16. for we are only of yesterday and know nothing,
17. because our days on earth are as a shadow.
18. will they not teach you and tell you?
19. bring forth words from their minds.
20. can the papyrus grow up without a marsh?
21. can the rushes grow without water?
22. while it is still green and yet not cut down,
23. it withers before any other plant.
24. so are the paths of all who forget GOD,
25. the hope of the godless will perish.
26. like whose confidence is fragile,
27. whose trust is like a spider's web.
28. he trusts in his house but it does not stand,
29. he holds fast to it but it does not endure.
30. he thrives before the sun,
31. his shoots spread out over his garden.
32. his roots wrap around a rock pile,
33. he grasps at a house of stones.
34. if it is removed from its place,
35. then it will deny him saying i never saw you.
36. behold this is the joy of His Way,
37. for out of the dust others will spring.
38. lo GOD will not reject a male of integrity,
39. nor will He support the evildoers.
40. He will yet fill your mouth with laughter,
41. your lips with shouting.
42. those who hate you will be clothed with shame,
43. the tent of the wicked will be no longer. }}
Chapter 1 ( part 7 )
1. Job answered.
2. in truth i know that this is so,
3. but how can a male be in the right before GOD?
4. if one wished to dispute with Him,
5. he could not answer Him once in a 1,000.
6. wise in heart and mighty in strength, }}
7. who has defied Him without harm?
8. He moves the mountains,
9. Knows when He can overturn them by His Anger.
10. He shakes the earth out of its place,
11. its pillars tremble.
12. He Commands the sun not to shine,
13. sets a seal upon the stars.
14. He Alone stretches out the heavens,
15. tramples down the waves of the sea.
16. He makes the bear orion and pleiades,
17. the chambers of the south.
18. He does great things unfathomable,
19. wondrous works without number.
20. were He to pass by me i would not see Him,
21. were He to move past me i would not perceive Him.
22. were He to snatch away who could restrain Him,
23. who could say to Him what are You doing?
24. GoD will not turn back His Anger,
25. beneath Him He crouch the helpers of rahab.
26. how then can i answer Him?
27. or choose my words before Him?
28. for though i were right i could not answer,
29. i would have to implore mercy to my JUDGE.
30. if i called and He Answered me,
31. i could not believe He was Listening to my voice.
32. for He bruises me with a tempest,
33. multiplies my wounds without cause.
34. He does not allow me to get my breath,
35. but saturates me with bitterness.
36. if it is a matter of power behold He is the Strong One,
37. if it is a matter of justice who can summon Him?
38. though i am righteous my mouth will condemn me,
39. though i am guiltless He will declare me guilty.
40. i am guiltless,
41. i do not take notice of myself.
42. yet i despise my life as this one,
43. therefore i say He destroys the guiltless and the wicked.
44. if scourge kills suddenly,
45. He mocks the despair of the innocent.
46. the earth is given into the hand of the wicked,
47. for He covers the faces of its judges.
48. if it is not He then who?
49. now my days are swifter than a runner.
50. they flee away.
51. i see no good.
52. they slip by like reed boats,
53. like an eagle that swoops on its prey.
54. though i say i will forget my complaint,
55. will i leave off my sad countenance and be cheerful.
56. i am afraid of all my pains,
57. i know that You will not acquit me.
58. if i am accounted wicked,
59. why then should i toil in vain?
60. if i should wash myself with snow,
61. to cleanse my hands with lye.
62. yet He would plunge me into the pit,
63. my own clothes would abhor me.
64. for He is not a male as i am,
65. that i may answer Him.
66. as for going to court together,
67. there is no umpire between us who may lay his hand upon us both.
68. let Him remove His Rod from me,
69. let not dread of Him terrify me.
70. then i would speak and not fear Him,
71. likewise i loathe my own life.
72. i will give full vent to my complaint.
73. i will speak in the bitterness of my soul.
74. i will say to GoD do not condemn me,
75. let me know why You contend with me.
76. is it right for You,
77. indeed to oppress?
78. to reject the labor of Your Hands.
79. or to look favorably on the schemes of the wicked?
80. have You Eyes of flesh?
81. or do You See as a male sees?
82. are Your Days as the days of a mortal?
83. or Your Years as a male's years?
84. do You seek for my guilt?
85. to search after my sin according to Your Knowledge.
86. i am indeed not guilty,
87. yet there is no deliverance from Your Hand.
88. Your Hands fashioned and made me altogether,
89. would You destroy me?
90. remember now You have made me from clay,
91. will You turn me into dust again?
92. did You not pour me out like milk?
93. curdle me like cheese?
94. You clothe me with skin and flesh,
95. knitted me together with bones and sinews.
96. You have granted me life and lovingkindness,
97. Your Care has preserved my spirit.
98. yet these things You have concealed in Your Heart,
99. i know this is within You.
100. if i sin You take note of me,
101. not to acquit me of my guilt.
102. if i am wicked woe to me,
103. if i am righteous i dare not lift up my head.
104. i am sated with disgrace and conscious of my misery,
105. should i be lifted up You would hunt me like a lion.
106. again You would show Your Power against me,
107. You renew Your Witnesses against me.
108. increase Your Anger toward me,
109. for hardship after hardship is with me.
110. why then have You brought me out of the womb?
111. had i died and no eye had seen me.
112. then i would have been as though i had been,
113. carried from womb to tomb.
114. will He not let my few days be alone,
115. withdraw from me that i may have a little cheer before i go.
116. shall i not return to the land of darkness and deep shadow?
117. the land of utter gloom as darkness.
118. a deep shadow without order,
119. of which shines as the darkness.
Chapter 1 ( part 8 )
1. then Zophar the naamathite answered.
2. shall a multitude of words go unanswered?
3. shall a talkative male be acquitted?
4. shall your boasts silence men,
5. you scoff with none to rebuke.
6. you have said my teaching is pure,
7. i am innocent in my eyes.
8. that GoD might Speak,
9. open His Lips against you to show you the secrets of wisdom.
10. for sound wisdom has 2 sides,
11. so learn then GoD forgets a part of your iniquity.
12. can you discover the depths of GoD?
13. can you discover the limits of the ALMIGHTY?
14. they are high as the heavens,
15. what can you do?
16. they are deeper than sheol,
17. what can you know?
18. for its measure is longer than the earth,
19. broader than the sea.
20. if He passes by or shuts up,
21. or calls an assembly who can restrain Him?
22. for He Knows false men,
23. He Sees iniquity without investigating.
24. would an idiot become intelligent?
25. or the foal of a wild donkey be born a male?
26. if you direct your heart right,
27. spread out your hand to Him.
28. if iniquity is in your hand put it far away,
29. do not let wickedness dwell in your tents.
30. then indeed you could lift up your face without defect,
31. you would be steadfast and not fear.
32. you would forget your trouble as waters that have passed by?
33. you would remember your life.
34. you would be brighter than noonday,
35. darkness would be like the morning.
36. then you would trust because there is hope,
37. you would look around and rest securely.
38. you would lie down and none would disturb you,
39. many would entreat your favor.
40. then the eyes of the wicked will fail with no escape,
41. for their hope is to breathe last.
Chapter 1 ( part 9 )
1. Job responded.
2. truly then the people with wisdom will die,
3. but i have intelligence as well.
4. i am not inferior to you,
5. who does not know such things as these?
6. for am i a joke to my friends?
7. is the one who calls on GoD to answered him just a blameless joke?
8. he who is at ease holds to calamity,
9. contempt has prepared his to feet slip.
10. {{for the tents of the destroyers are prospered by those who provoke GOD,
11. secure are whom GoD brings into His Power.}
12. now ask the beasts to teach you,
13. will the birds of the heavens will tell you?
14. or speak to the earth and let it teach you,
15. will the fish of the sea declare to you?
16. who among all these does not know,
17. that the Hand of YHVH has Done This.
18. in Whose Hand is the life of every living thing,
19. as well as the breath of all man?
20. does not the ear test words as the palate tastes the food?
21. for wisdom is with the aged male for long life.
22. for understanding wisdom is his strength,
23. his counsel for understanding.
24. behold He tears down and it cannot be rebuilt,
25. He imprisons a male and there can be no release.
26. behold He restrains the waters and they dry up,
27. He sends them out and they restore the earth.
28. with Him are strength and sound wisdom,
29. the misled and the misleader belong to Him.
30. He makes counselors walk barefoot,
31. makes fools of judges.
32. He loosens the bond of kings,
33. binds their loins with a girdle.
34. He makes the Priests walk barefoot,
35. overthrows the secure ones.
36. He deprives the trusted ones of speech,
37. takes away the discernment of the Elders.
38. He pours contempt on nobles,
39. loosens the belt of the strong.
40. He reveals mysteries from the darkness,
41. brings the deep darkness into light.
42. He makes the nations great then destroys them,
43. He enlarges the nations then leads them away.
44. He deprives intelligence to the chiefs of the earth's people,
45. makes them wander in a pathless waste.
46. they grope in darkness with no light,
47. He makes them stagger like a drunken male.
48. behold my eye has seen all this,
49. my ear has heard and understood.
50. what you know i also know,
51. i am not inferior to you?
52. but i would speak to the ALMIGHTY,
53. i desire to argue with GOD.
54. you smear with lies,
55. you are all worthless physicians.
56. o that you would be completely silent,
57. that would become your wisdom.
58. please hear my argument,
59. listen to the contentions of my lips.
60. will you speak what is unjust for GOD?
61. or speak what is deceitful for Him?
62. will you show partiality?
63. will you contend for GOD?
64. will it be well when He examines you?
65. or will you deceive Him as one deceives a male?
66. He will surely reprove you,
67. if you secretly show partiality.
68. for will not His Majesty terrify you?
69. as the dread of Him falls on you.
70. your memorable sayings are proverbs of ashes,
71. your defenses are defenses of clay.
72. be silent before me so that i may speak,
73. let come on me what may.
74. why should i take my flesh in my teeth?
75. and put my life in your hands?
76. though He slays me i will hope in Him,
77. nevertheless i will argue my ways before His Presence.
78. this also will be my salvation,
79. for may a godless male not come before His Presence.
80. listen carefully to my speech,
81. let my declaration fill your ears.
82. behold now i have prepared my case,
83. know that i will be vindicated.
84. Whom He is will contend with me,
85. for then i would be silent and die.
86. only 2 things do not do to me,
87. then i will not hide from Your Face.
88. remove Your Hand from me,
89. let not the dread of You terrify me.
90. then Call and i will answer,
91. or let me speak and then Reply to me.
92. how many are my iniquities and my sins?
93. make known to me my rebellion and my sin.
94. why do You hide Your Face?
95. do You consider me Your Enemy?
96. will You cause a driven leaf to tremble?
97. or will You pursue the dry chaff?
98. for You write bitter things against me,
99. You make me to inherit the iniquities of my youth.
100. You put my feet in shackles to watch all my paths,
101. You set a limit for the soles of my feet.
102. for i am decaying like a rotten thing,
103. as a garment that is moth-eaten.
104. like man who is born of woman,
105. who is short-lived and full of turmoil.
106. like a flower that comes forth and withers,
107. it also flees like a shadow and does not remain.
108. You also open Your Eyes on me,
109. You bring me into judgment with Yourself.
110. who can make the clean out of the unclean?
111. no one.
112. since my days are determined,
113. the number of my months is with You,
114. my limits You have set,
115. so i cannot pass.
116. turn Your Gaze from me that i may rest,
117. until i fulfill my day like a hired male.
118. for there is hope for a tree when it is cut down,
119. for will it sprout again and its shoots will not fail?
120. though its roots grow old in the ground,
121. its stump dies in dry soil.
122. at the scent of water it will flourish,
123. put forth sprigs like a new-plant.
124. but a male dies and lies prostrate,
125. for a male expires and where is he?
126. as water evaporates from the sea,
127. a river becomes parched and dried up.
128. so male lies down and does not rise,
129. until the heavens are no longer.
130. he will not awake,
131. nor be aroused out of his sleep.
132. oh that You would hide me in sheol,
133. conceal me until Your Wrath returns to You.
134. that You would set a limit and remember me.
135. {{if a male dies will he live again?}
136. all the days of my struggle i wait until my change comes.
137. You will Call and we will answer,
138. You Long for the work of Your Hands.
139. for now You number our steps,
140. do You not observe our sin?
141. our transgression are sealed up in a bag,
142. for You wrap up our iniquity.
143. as a falling mountain crumbles away,
144. its rock moves from their place.
145. as water wears away stones,
146. as torrents wash away the dust of the earth.
147. so You destroy man's hope,
148. You forever overpower him and he departs.
149. You change his appearance,
150. sending him away.
151. his sons achieve honor,
152. but he does not know this.
153. for they become insignificant.
154. he does not perceive it.
155. for his body pains him,
156. he mourns only for himself.
Chapter 1 ( part 10 )
1. then Eliphaz the temanite responded.
2. should a wise male answer with windy knowledge?
3. or fill himself with the east wind?
4. should he argue with useless talk,
5. or with words which are not profitable?
6. indeed you do away with reverence,
7. you hinder pondering before GOD.
8. for your guilt teaches your mouth,
9. you choose the language of the crafty.
10. your own mouth condemns you and not i,
11. your own lips testify against you.
12. were you the 1st male to be born?
13. or were you brought forth before the hills?
14. do you hear the secret counsel of GoD?
15. or limit wisdom to yourself?
16. what do you know that we do not know?
17. do you understand and we do not?
18. both the gray-haired and the aged are among us,
19. older than your father.
20. are the consolations of GOD too small for you?
21. even the word spoken gently with you?
22. why does your heart carry you away?
23. why do your eyes flash?
24. you turn your spirit against GOD,
25. allowing such words to go out of your mouth.
26. what is a male that he should be pure?
27. or he who is born of a woman that he should be righteous?
28. behold He puts no trust in His Holy Ones,
29. for the heavens are not pure in His Sight.
30. how much less one who is detestable?
31. corrupt as a male who drinks iniquity like water.
32. i will tell you listen to me,
33. what i have seen i will also declare.
34. what wise men have told,
35. having not concealed them from their fathers.
36. to whom alone the land was given,
37. so no alien passed among them.
38. the wicked male writhes in pain all his days,
39. numbered are the years stored up for the ruthless.
40. sounds of terror are in his ears,
41. while at peace the destroyer comes upon him.
42. he does not believe he will return from darkness,
43. he is destined for the sword.
44. he wanders about for food,
45. saying where is it?
46. he knows a day of darkness is at hand,
47. distress and anguish terrify him.
48. overpowering him like a king ready for the attack,
49. because he has stretched out his hand against GOD.
50. he has conducted himself arrogantly against the ALMIGHTY,
51. he rushes headlong with his massive shield.
52. for he has covered his face with his fat,
53. made his thighs heavy with flesh.
54. he has lived in desolate cities,
55. in houses no one would inhabit.
56. which are destined to become ruins. }}
57. he will not become rich,
58. nor will his wealth endure.
59. his grain will not bend down to the ground,
60. he will not escape from darkness.
61. a flame will wither his shoots,
62. by the breath of His Mouth he will go away.
63. let him not trust in emptiness,
64. deceiving himself for emptiness will be his reward.
65. it will be accomplished before his time,
66. his palm branch will not be green.
67. he will drop off his unripe grape from the vine,
68. he will cast off his flower from the olive tree.
69. for the company of the godless is barren,
70. fire consumes the tents of the corrupt.
71. they conceive mischief to bring forth iniquity,
72. their mind prepares deception.
Chapter 1 ( part 11 )
1. then Job answered.
2. i have heard many such things,
3. sorry comforters are you all.
4. is there no limit to windy words.
5. what plagues you that you answer?
6. i too could speak like you if i were in your place,
7. i could compose words against you and shake my head.
8. i would strengthen you with my mouth,
9. with solace of my lips i could lessen your pain.
10. if i speak my pain is not lessened,
11. if i hold back what has left me?
12. but now you have exhausted me,
13. you have laid me waste by all your company.
14. you have shriveled me up,
15. becoming a witness.
16. my leanness rises up against me,
17. testifies to my face.
18. His Anger has torn me,
19. He as hunted me down.
20. He has gnashed at me with His Teeth,
21. my Adversary glares at me.
22. you have gaped at me with your mouth,
23. you have slapped me on the cheek with contempt and have massed yourselves against me.
24. GOD hands me over to ruffians,
25. tossing me into the hands of the wicked.
26. i was at ease but He shattered me,
27. for He has grasped me by the neck.
28. He has shaken me to pieces,
29. He has also set me up as His Target.
30. His Arrows surround me without mercy,
31. He splits my kidneys open for He pours out my gall on the ground.
32. He breaks through me with breach after breach,
33. He runs at me like a warrior.
34. i have sewed sackcloth over my skin,
35. thrust my horn in the dust.
36. my face is flushed from weeping,
37. deep darkness is on my eyelids.
38. although there is no violence in my hands,
39. my prayer is pure.
40. let earth not cover my blood,
41. let there be no resting place for my cry.
42. even now behold my Witness is in heaven,
43. my Advocate is on High.
44. my friends are my scoffers,
45. my eye weeps to GoD.
46. that a male might plead with GoD,
47. as a male with his neighbor.
48. for when a few years are past,
49. i shall go the way of no return.
50. my spirit is broken,
51. my days are extinguished for the grave.
52. surely mockers are with me,
53. my eye gazes on their provocation.
54. lay down now a pledge for me Yourself,
55. who is there that will be my guarantor?
56. for You have kept their heart from understanding,
57. therefore You will not exalt them.
58. he who informs against friends for a share of the spoil,
59. the eyes of his children will also languish.
60. but He has made me a byword of the people,
61. i am one whom men spit at.
62. my eye has also grown dim because of grief,
63. all my members are as a shadow.
64. the upright will be appalled at this,
65. the innocent will stir up himself against the godless.
66. nevertheless the righteous will hold to His Way,
67. he who has clean hands will grow stronger and stronger.
68. come again for all of you now,
69. for i do not find a wise male among you.
70. my days are past,
71. my plans are torn apart.
72. even the wishes of my heart to make night into day,
73. saying light is near in the presence of darkness.
74. if i look for sheol as my home,
75. i make my bed in the darkness.
76. if i call to the pit you are my father,
77. to the worm my mother and my sister.
78. where now is my hope?
79. who regards my hope?
80. will it go down with me to sheol?
81. shall we together go down into the dust?
Chapter 1 ( part 12 )
1. Bildad the shuhite responded.
2. how long will you hunt for words?
3. show understanding and then we can talk.
4. why are we regarded as beasts and stupid in your eyes?
5. you are who tears yourself in your anger.
6. for your sake is the earth to be abandoned?
7. or the rock to be moved from its place?
8. indeed the light of the wicked goes out,
9. the flame of his fire gives no light.
10. the light in his tent is darkened,
11. his lamp goes out above him.
12. his vigorous stride is shortened,
13. his own scheme brings him down.
14. for he is thrown into the net,
15. by his own feet as he steps on the webbing.
16. a snare seizes him by the heel,
17. the trap snaps shut on him.
18. a noose for him is hidden in the ground,
19. a trap for him on the path.
20. all around terrors frighten him,
21. scattering him at every step.
22. his strength is famished,
23. calamity is ready at his side.
24. his skin is devoured by disease,
25. the 1st-born of death devours his limbs.
26. he is torn from the security of his tent,
27. they march him before the king of terrors.
28. there dwells in his tent nothing,
29. for brimstone is scattered on his habitation.
30. his roots are dried below,
31. his branch is cut off above.
32. memory of him perishes from the earth,
33. he has no name abroad.
34. he is driven from light into darkness,
35. chased from the inhabited world.
36. he has no offspring or posterity among his people,
37. nor any survivor where he sojourned.
38. those in the west are appalled at his fate,
39. those in the east are seized with horror.
40. surely such are the dwellings of the wicked,
41. this is the place of him who does not know GOD.
Chapter 1 ( part 13 )
1. Job responded.
2. how long will you torment me?
3. to crush me with words.
4. these 10 times you have insulted me.
5. you are not ashamed to wrong me.
6. even if i have truly erred,
7. my error lodges with me.
8. if indeed you vaunt yourselves against me,
9. prove my disgrace to me.
10. know then GoD has wronged me,
11. He has closed His Net around me.
12. behold i cry violence,
13. but i get no answer.
14. i shout for help,
15. but there is no justice.
16. He has walled up my way so i cannot pass,
17. He has put darkness on my path.
18. He has stripped my honor from me,
19. removed the crown from my head.
20. He breaks me down on every side until i am gone,
21. He has uprooted my hope like a tree.
22. He has also kindled His Anger against me,
23. He considered me as His Enemy.
24. His Troops come together to build up their way against me,
25. they are camped around my tent.
26. He has removed my brothers far from me,
27. my acquaintances are completely estranged from me.
28. my relatives have failed,
29. my intimate friends have forgotten me.
30. those who live in my house and my maids consider me a stranger,
31. i am a foreigner in their sight.
32. i call to my servant but he does not answer,
33. i have to implore him with my mouth.
34. my breath is offensive to my wife,
35. i am loathsome to my own brothers.
36. even young children despise me,
37. i rise up and they speak against me.
38. all my associates abhor me,
39. those i love have turned against me.
40. my bone clings to my skin and flesh,
41. have i escaped by the skin of my teeth?
42. pity me pity me you my friends,
43. for the Hand of GoD has struck me.
44. why do you persecute me as GOD does?
45. are you not satisfied with my flesh?
46. oh that my words were written,
47. oh that they were inscribed in a book.
48. with an iron stylus for lead,
49. that they were engraved in the rock forever.
50. as for me i know my Redeemer Lives,
51. at the end He will take His Stand on the earth.
52. even after my skin is destroyed,
53. yet in my flesh i shall see GoD.
54. Whom i myself shall behold,
55. Whom my eyes will see and not another.
56. my heart will faint within me,
57. if you say how shall we persecute him?
58. what pretext for a case against me can you find?
59. then be afraid of the sword for yourselves.
60. for wrath brings punishment by the sword,
61. that we may know there is Judgment.
Chapter 1 ( part 14 )
1. Zophar the naamathite answered.
2. therefore my disquieting thoughts make me respond,
3. even because of my inward agitation.
4. i listened to the reproof which insults me,
5. the spirit of my understanding makes me answer.
6. do you know this from of old?
7. from the establishment of man on earth.
8. that the triumphing of the wicked is short,
9. the joy of the godless momentary.
10. though his loftiness reaches the heavens and his head touches the clouds,
11. he perishes forever like his refuse.
12. those who have seen him,
13. they will say where is he?
14. he flies away like a dream for they cannot find him,
15. even like a vision of the night he is chased away.
16. the eye which saw him sees him no longer,
17. his place no longer beholds him.
18. his sons favor the poor,
19. their hands give back his wealth.
20. his bones are full of his youthful vigor,
21. but it lies down with him in the dust.
22. though evil is sweet in his mouth,
23. he hides it under his tongue.
24. though he desires it not to let it go,
25. holding it in his mouth.
26. yet his food in his stomach is changed,
27. the venom of cobras are within him.
28. he swallows riches but will vomit them up,
29. for GOD will expel them from his belly.
30. he sucks the poison of cobras,
31. a viper's tongue slays him.
32. he does not look at the streams of the rivers,
33. the flowing of honey and curds.
34. he returns what he has attained and cannot swallow it,
35. as to the riches of his trading he cannot even enjoy them.
36. for he has oppressed and forsaken the poor,
37. he has seized a house which he has not built.
38. because he knew no quiet within him,
39. he does not retain anything he desires.
40. nothing remains for him to devour,
41. therefore his prosperity does not endure.
42. in the fullness of his plenty he will be cramped,
43. for the hand of everyone who suffers will come against him.
44. when he fills his belly He will send His Fierce Anger on him,
45. this will rain on him while he is eating.
46. he may flee from the iron weapon,
47. but the bronze bow will pierce him.
48. it is drawn forth and comes out of his back,
49. even the glittering point with his gall.
50. terrors come upon him for complete darkness is held in reserve for his treasures,
51. an unfanned fire will devour him by consume the survivors of his tent.
52. the heavens will reveal his iniquity,
53. earth will rise up against him.
54. the increase of his house will depart,
55. they will flow away in the day of His Anger.
56. this is the wicked male's portion from the CREATOR,
57. even the heritage decreed to him by GOD.
Chapter 1 ( part 15 )
1. Job answered.
2. listen carefully to my speech,
3. let this be your way of consolation.
4. bear with me that i may speak,
5. then after i have spoken you may mock.
6. as for me is my complaint to man?
7. why should i not be impatient?
8. look at me and be astonished,
9. put your hand over your mouth.
10. even when i remember i am disturbed,
11. horror takes hold of my flesh.
12. why do the wicked still live and continue on?
13. they also become very powerful?
14. their descendants are established with them in their sight,
15. their offspring before their eyes.
16. their houses are safe from fear,
17. the rod of GoD is not on them.
18. his ox mates without fail,
19. his cow have calves and does not abort.
20. they send forth their little ones like the flock,
21. their children skip about.
22. they sing to the timbrel and harp,
23. they rejoice at the sound of the flute.
24. they spend their days in prosperity,
25. suddenly they go down to sheol.
26. they say to GOD depart from us,
27. we do not even desire the knowledge of Your Ways.
28. Who is the ALMIGHTY that we should serve Him?
29. what would we gain if we entreat Him?
30. behold their prosperity is not in their hand,
31. the counsel of the wicked is far from me.
32. how often is the lamp of the wicked put out?
33. or does their calamity fall on them?
34. does He apportion destruction in His Anger? }}
35. they are straw before the wind,
36. like chaff which the storm carries away.
37. you say GoD stores away a male's iniquity for his sons,
38. let Him repay him so that he may know Him.
39. let his own eyes see his decay,
40. let him drink of the Wrath of the ALMIGHTY.
41. for what does he care for his household after him,
42. when the numbering of his months is cut off.
43. can anyone teach GOD knowledge?
44. for He Judges those on high.
45. one dies in his full strength,
46. being wholly at ease and satisfied.
47. his sides are filled out fat,
48. the marrow of his bones is moist.
49. while another dies with a bitter soul,
50. never even tasting good,
51. yet together they lie down in the dust,
52. worms cover them.
53. behold i know your thoughts,
54. the plans by which you would wrong me.
55. for you say where is the house of the nobleman?
56. where is the tent the dwelling places of the wicked?
57. have you not asked the wayfaring men?
58. do you not recognize their witness?
59. for the wicked is reserved for the Day of Calamity,
60. they will be led forth in the Day of Fury.
61. who will confront him for his actions?
62. who will repay him for what he has done?
63. while he is carried to the grave will men keep watch over his tomb?
64. or the clods of the valley be gentle covering him?
65. moreover will all men follow after him?
66. while countless ones have gone before him?
67. how then will you vainly comfort me?
68. for your answers remain full of falsehood.
Chapter 1 ( part 16 )
1. Eliphaz the temanite responded.
2. can a vigorous male be of use to GOD?
3. or a wise male be useful to himself?
4. is there any pleasure to the ALMIGHTY if you are righteous?
5. or profit if you make your ways perfect?
6. is it because of your reverence that He Reproves you?
7. He enters into Judgment against you.
8. is not your wickedness great?
9. your iniquities without end?
10. have you taken pledges of your brothers without cause?
11. or stripped men naked?
12. to the weary have you given no water to drink?
13. from the hungry have you withheld bread?
14. but the earth belongs to the mighty male,
15. the honorable male dwells in it.
16. have you sent widows away empty?
17. or the strength of the orphans have you crushed?
18. therefore snares are surround you,
19. sudden dread terrifies you.
20. or darkness so you cannot see,
21. as the abundance of water covers you.
22. is not GoD in the height of Heaven?
23. look also at the distant stars how high they are?
24. you say what does GOD know?
25. can He Judge through the thick darkness?
26. are clouds a hiding place to Him?
27. so He cannot see?
28. for He walks on the vault of Heaven,
29. will you keep to the ancient path which wicked men have trod?
30. they were snatched away before their time,
31. whose foundations were washed away by a river.
32. they said to GOD depart from us,
33. what can the ALMIGHTY do to us?
34. yet He filled their houses with good,
35. but the counsel of the wicked is far from Him.
36. the righteous see and are glad,
37. the innocent mock them.
38. saying truly our adversaries are cut off,
39. their abundance fire has consumed.
40. yield now and be at peace with Him,
41. thereby good will come to you.
42. please receive instruction from His Mouth,
43. establish His Words in your heart.
44. if you return to the ALMIGHTY you will be restored,
45. if you remove unrighteousness far from your tent.
46. place your gold in the dust,
47. the gold from ophir among the stones of the brooks.
48. then the ALMIGHTY will be your gold and choice silver to you,
49. for then you will delight in the ALMIGHTY and lift up your face to GoD.
50. will you pray to Him for Him to hear you?
51. will you pay your Vows?
52. will you also decree a thing to be established for you?
53. as for a light to shine on your ways.
54. when you are cast down you will speak with confidence?
55. the humble person He will Save.
56. will He Deliver one who is not innocent?
57. will you be delivered through the cleanness of your hands?
Chapter 1 ( part 17 )
1. Job replied.
2. even today my complaint is rebellion,
3. His Hand is heavy despite my groaning.
4. oh that i knew where i might find Him,
5. that i might come to His Seat.
6. i would present my case before Him,
7. fill my mouth with arguments.
8. i would learn the Words which He would Answer?
9. would i perceive what He would Say to me?
10. would He contend with me by the Greatness of His Power?
11. lest surely He would pay attention to me.
12. there the upright would reason with Him,
13. i would be delivered forever from my JUDGE.
14. behold i go forward but He is not there,
15. backward but i cannot perceive Him.
16. when He Acts on the left i cannot behold Him,
17. He turns to the right i cannot see Him.
18. but He Knows the way i take,
19. He has tried me and i shall come forth as gold.
20. my foot has held fast to His Path,
21. i have kept His Way and not turned aside.
22. i have not departed from the Command of His Lips,
23. i have treasured the Words of His Mouth more than my necessary food.
24. but He is unique and who can turn Him,
25. what His Soul desires He Does.
26. for He Performs what is appointed for me,
27. for many such decrees are with Him.
28. therefore i would be dismayed at His Presence,
29. as i consider i am terrified of Him.
30. GOD is Who has made my heart faint,
31. the ALMIGHTY is Who has dismayed me.
32. but i am not silenced by the darkness,
33. nor deep gloom which covers me.
34. why are times not stored up by the ALMIGHTY?
35. why do those who know Him not see their days?
36. some remove the landmarks,
37. they seize and devour flocks.
38. they drive away the donkeys of the orphans,
39. they take the widow's ox for a pledge.
40. they push the needy aside from the road,
41. the poor of the land are made to hide themselves altogether.
42. behold as wild donkeys in the wilderness,
43. they go forth seeking food.
44. {{their activity are for bread, for their children in the desert.}
45. they harvest their fodder in the field,
46. they glean the vineyard of the wicked.
47. they spend the night naked without clothing,
48. they have no covering against the cold.
49. they are wet with the mountain rains,
50. they hug the rock for want of a shelter.
51. others snatch the orphan from the breast,
52. against the poor they take a pledge.
53. they are caused to go about naked without clothing,
54. they take away the sheaves from the hungry.
55. within the walls they produce oil,
56. they tread the wine presses but they thirst.
57. from the city men groan and the souls of the wounded cry out,
58. does GoD pay attention to folly?
59. others have been like those who rebel against the light,
60. they do not want to know its ways nor abide in its paths.
61. the murderer arises at dawn,
62. he kills the poor and the needy in the night like a thief.
63. the eye of the adulterer waits for the twilight,
64. saying no eye will see me as he disguises his face.
65. in the dark they dig into houses to shut themselves up,
66. by day they do not know the light.
67. for the morning is the same to him as thick darkness,
68. for he is familiar with the terrors of thick darkness.
69. swiftly as the surface of the water,
70. their portion is cursed on the earth.
71. they do not turn toward the vineyards,
72. for a drought by heat consumes the snow waters.
73. to sheol who have sinned,
74. his mother will forget him as the worm feeds sweetly.
75. he is no longer remembered,
76. wickedness will be broken like a tree.
77. he wrongs the barren woman,
78. does no good for the widow.
79. but he drags off the valiant by his power,
80. he is established but no one has assurance of their life.
81. he provides them with security for they are supported,
82. his eyes are on their ways.
83. they are exalted a little while then they are gone,
84. moreover they are brought low like everything that is gathered up,
85. even like the heads of grain they are cut off.
86. if not so who can prove me a liar to make my speech worthless?
Chapter 1 ( part 18 )
1. Bildad the shuhite answered.
2. dominion and awe belong to Him Who establishes peace in His Heights,
3. is there any number to His Troops upon whom does His Light not rise?
4. how then can a male be just with GOD?
5. or how can he be clean who is born of woman?
6. if even the moon has no brightness,
7. the stars are not pure in His Sight.
8. how much less a male that maggot?
9. the son of a male that worm.
Chapter 1 ( part 19 )
1. Job responded.
2. what a help you are to the weak?
3. how you have saved the arm without strength?
4. what counsel have you given to one without wisdom?
5. what helpful insight have you abundantly provided?
6. to whom have you uttered these-words?
7. whose spirit was expressed through you?
8. the departed spirits tremble under the waters in their inhabitants,
9. naked is sheol before Him for abaddon has no covering.
10. He stretches out north over an empty space,
11. He hangs the earth on nothing.
12. He wraps up in the waterless for His Clouds,
13. for the clouds do not burst under them.
14. He obscures the face of the full moon,
15. by spreading His Cloud to cover it.
16. He has inscribed a circle on the surface of the waters,
17. the boundaries of light and darkness.
18. the pillars of heaven tremble for they are amazed at His Rebuke,
19. He quiets the sea with His Power.
20. by His Understanding He shattered rahab,
21. by His Breath the heavens are cleared.
22. His Hand has pierced the fleeing serpent,
23. behold these are the fringes of His Ways.
24. yet how faint a word we hear of Him,
25. His Mighty Thunder who can understand?
Chapter 1 ( part 20 )
1. Job continued his discourse.
2. saying as GOD Lives He has taken away my right,
3. the ALMIGHTY has embittered my soul.
4. for as long as life is in me,
5. for the Breath of GoD is in my nostrils.
6. my lips certainly will not speak unjustly,
7. nor will my tongue mutter deceit.
8. far be it from me that i should declare you right till i die,
9. i will not put away my integrity from me.
10. i hold fast my righteousness and will not let it go,
11. my heart does not reproach any of my days.
12. my enemy is as the wicked,
13. my opponent as the unjust.
14. for what is the hope of the godless when he is cut off?
15. as when GoD requires his life?
16. will GOD hear his cry?
17. or when distress comes upon him?
18. will he take delight in the ALMIGHTY?
19. will he call on GoD at all times?
20. i will instruct you in the Power of GOD,
21. what is by the ALMIGHTY i will not conceal.
22. behold all of you have seen this,
23. so why then do you act foolishly?
24. this is the portion of the wicked men from GOD,
25. the inheritance which tyrants receive from the ALMIGHTY.
26. though their sons are many they are destined for the sword,
27. for their descendants will not be satisfied with bread.
28. their survivors will be buried because of the plague,
29. their widows will not be able to weep.
30. though he piles up silver like dust,
31. he prepares garments as plentiful as the clay.
32. he may prepare but the just will wear it,
33. the innocent will divide the silver.
34. they have built their house like the spider's web,
35. or as a hut which the watchman has made.
36. they lie down rich but never again will he open his eyes,
37. they are no longer for terrors overtake them like a flood.
38. a tempest steals them away in the night,
39. the east wind carries them away.
40. they are gone for it whirls them away from their place,
41. hurling them without sparing.
42. they will surely try to flee from its power,
43. men will clap their hands and hiss at them from their place.
44. as surely there is a mine for silver and a place where they refine gold,
45. as iron is taken from the dust and copper is smelted from rock.
46. they put an end to darkness as the farthest limit,
47. searching out the rock in gloom and deep shadow.
48. they sink a shaft far from habitation forgotten by the foot,
49. they hang and swing to and fro far from men.
50. from earth comes food,
51. underneath it is turned up as fire.
52. its rocks are the source of sapphires,
53. its dust contains gold.
54. a path no bird of prey knows,
55. nor has the falcon's eye caught sight of it.
56. the proud beasts have not trodden it,
57. nor has the fierce lion passed over it.
58. he puts his hand on flint,
59. he overturns the mountains at the base.
60. he hews out channels through the rocks,
61. so his eyes can see anything precious.
62. he dams up the streams from flowing,
63. what is hidden he brings out to the light.
64. but where can wisdom be found?
65. where is the place of understanding?
66. men do not know its value,
67. nor is it found in the land of the living.
68. the deep says it is not in me,
69. the sea says it is not with me.
70. pure gold cannot be given in exchange for it,
71. nor can silver be weighed as its price.
72. it cannot be valued by the gold from ophir,
73. or by precious onyx or sapphire.
74. gold or glass cannot equal it,
75. nor can it be exchanged for articles of fine gold.
76. coral and crystal are not to be mentioned,
77. the acquisition of wisdom is above that of pearls.
78. the topaz of ethiopia cannot equal it,
79. nor can it be valued in pure gold.
80. where then does wisdom come from,
81. where is the place of understanding?
82. thus it is hidden from the eyes of all living,
83. concealed from the birds of the sky.
84. abaddon and death say with our ears we have heard a report of it,
85. the CREATOR understands its way for He Knows its place.
86. He Looks to the ends of the earth,
87. Sees everything under the heavens.
88. when He imparted weight to the wind,
89. weighing out the waters by measure.
90. when He set a limit for the rain,
91. a course for the thunderbolt.
92. so then He Saw and Declared it,
93. He Established it and also searched it out.
94. to a male He Said behold.
95. fear the LORD that is wisdom,
96. to depart from evil is understanding, }}
Chapter 1 ( part 21 )
1. Job again took up his discourse.
2. saying oh that i were as in months gone by,
3. as in the days when GoD watched over me.
4. when His Lamp shone over my head,
5. by His Light i walked through darkness.
6. as in the prime of my days when the friendship of GoD was over my tent,
7. when the ALMIGHTY was yet with me and my children were around me.
8. when my steps were bathed in butter,
9. the rock poured out for me streams of oil.
10. when i went out to the gate of the city,
11. when i took my seat in the square.
12. the young men saw me and hid themselves,
13. the old men arose to stand.
14. the princes stopped talking,
15. they put their hands on their mouths.
16. the voice of the nobles was hushed,
17. their tongue stuck to their palate.
18. for when the ear heard it they called me blessed,
19. when the their eye saw it gave witness of me.
20. because i delivered the poor who cried for help,
21. the orphan who had no helper.
22. the blessings of the one ready to perish came upon me,
23. i made the widow's heart sing for joy.
24. i put on righteousness and it clothed me,
25. my justice was like a robe and a turban.
26. i was eyes to the blind,
27. and feet to the lame.
28. i was a father to the needy,
29. i investigated the case which i did not know.
30. i broke the jaws of the wicked,
31. snatched the prey from his teeth.
32. then i thought i shall die in my nest,
33. i shall multiply my days as the sand.
34. my root is spread out to the waters,
35. the dew lies all night on my branch.
36. my glory was ever new with me,
37. my bow was renewed in my hand.
38. to me they listened and waited,
39. they kept silent for my counsel.
40. after my words they did not speak again,
41. for my speech dropped on them.
42. they waited for me as for the rain,
43. they opened their mouth as for the spring rain.
44. i smiled on them when they did not believe,
45. the light of my face they did not cast down.
46. i chose a way for them and sat as chief,
47. i dwelt as a king among the troops as one who comforted the mourners.
48. but now those younger than i mock me,
49. whose fathers i disdained to put with the dogs of my flock.
50. indeed what is the strength of their hands to me,
51. their vigor perishes from them.
52. from want and famine they are gaunt,
53. for they gnaw the dry ground by night in the waste of desolation.
54. those who pluck mallow by the bushes,
55. whose food is the root of the broom shrub.
56. they are driven from the community,
57. they shout against them as against a thief.
58. so they dwell in the dreadful valleys,
59. in holes of the earth by the rocks.
60. among the bushes they cry out,
61. under the nettles they are gathered together.
62. fools even those without a name,
63. the scourged from the land.
64. now i have become their taunt,
65. i have even become a byword to them.
66. they abhor me and stand aloof from me,
67. they do not refrain from spitting at my face.
68. because He has loosed His Bowstring and afflicted me,
69. they have cast off the bridle before me.
70. on the right hand their brood arises to thrust aside my feet,
71. they build up against me their ways of destruction.
72. they break up my path,
73. they profit from my destruction.
74. no one restrains for it is a wide breach,
75. they come amid as a tempest and roll on.
76. terrors are turned against me so they pursue my honor,
77. as the wind my prosperity has passed away like a cloud.
78. now my soul is poured out within me,
79. for the days of affliction have seized me.
80. at night it pierces my bones within me,
81. my gnawing pains take no rest.
82. by a great force my garment is distorted,
83. it binds about me as the collar of my coat.
84. He has cast me into the mire,
85. i have become dust and ashes.
86. i cry out to Him for help but He does not Answer me,
87. i stand up and He turns His Attention against me.
88. He has become cruel to me,
89. by the Might of His Hand He persecutes me.
90. He lifts me up by the wind causing me to ride,
91. He dissolves me in a storm.
92. for i know He will bring me to death,
93. to the house of meeting for all living.
94. yet does not one in a heap of ruins stretch out his hand?
95. or in his disaster therefore cry out for help?
96. have i not wept for the one whose life is hard?
97. was not my soul grieved for the needy?
98. when i expected good then evil came,
99. when i waited for light then darkness came.
100. i am seething within and cannot relax,
101. days of affliction confront me.
102. i go about mourning without comfort,
103. i stand up in the assembly and cry out for help.
104. i have become a brother to jackals,
105. a companion to ostriches.
106. my skin turns black on me,
107. my bones burn with fever.
108. therefore my harp is turned to mourning,
109. my flute to the sound of those who weep.
110. i have made a covenant with my eyes,
111. how then could i gaze at a virgin?
112. what is our portion from GoD above?
113. or our heritage from the ALMIGHTY on High?
114. is it not calamity to the unjust?
115. disaster to those who work iniquity?
116. does He not see my ways?
117. number all my steps?
118. if i have walked with falsehood,
119. or my foot has hastened after deceit.
120. let Him weigh me with accurate scales,
121. GoD Knows my integrity.
122. if my step has turned from His Way,
123. or my heart followed my eyes.
124. that a defect stuck to my hands let me sow and another eat,
125. let my crops be uprooted.
126. if my heart has been enticed by a woman,
127. or i have lurked at my neighbor's doorway.
128. may my wife grind for another and let others kneel down over her,
129. that is a lustful crime moreover an iniquity calling for Judgment.
130. let fire consume me from abaddon,
131. uproot all my increase.
132. if i have despised the claim of my male or female slaves,
133. when they filed a complaint against me.
134. what then could i do when GOD Arises?
135. when He Calls me to account what will i answer Him?
136. did not He Who made me in the womb make them?
137. the same ONE fashions us in the womb.
138. if i have kept the poor from their desire,
139. or have caused the eyes of the widow to fail.
140. or have i eaten my morsel alone,
141. so the orphan has not shared it.
142. {(from youth he grew up with me,
143. as a father and from infancy i guided him.)}
144. if i seen anyone perishing for lack of clothing,
145. or the needy had no covering.
146. indeed his loins have not thanked me,
147. for he has not been warmed with the fleece of my sheep.
148. if i have lifted up my hand against the orphan,
149. because i saw them i support them in the gate.
150. let my shoulder fall from the socket,
151. let my arm be broken off at the elbow.
152. for calamity from GOD is a terror to me,
153. because of His Majesty i can do nothing.
154. if i have put my confidence in gold,
155. or called fine gold my trust.
156. if i have gloated because my wealth was great,
157. although my hand had secured so much.
158. if i have looked at the sun when it shone,
159. or the moon going in splendor.
160. so that my heart became secretly enticed,
161. my hand threw a kiss from my mouth.
162. that too would have been an iniquity calling for Judgment,
163. for i would have denied GOD above.
164. have i rejoiced at the extinction of my enemy,
165. or exulted when evil befell him.
166. no i have not allowed my mouth to sin,
167. by asking for his life in a curse.
168. have the men of my tent not said,
169. who can find one who has not been satisfied with his meat?
170. the alien has not lodged outside,
171. i have opened my doors to the traveler.
172. have i covered my transgressions like Adam?
173. hiding my iniquity in my bosom.
174. or because i feared the great multitude from the contempt of families,
175. terrified i kept silent and did not go out of doors.
176. oh that i had one to hear me,
177. behold here is my signature.
178. let the ALMIGHTY Answer me,
179. by the indictment which my adversaries have written.
180. surely i would carry it on my shoulder,
181. i would bind it to myself like a crown.
182. i would declare to Him the numbering of my steps,
183. like a prince i would approach Him.
184. if my land cries out against me,
185. or its furrows weep together.
186. if i have eaten its fruit without money,
187. or have caused its owners to lose their lives.
188. let briars grow instead of wheat,
189. stinkweed instead of barley.
190. the words of Job were ended,
191. these 3 men ceased answering Job because he was righteous in his own eyes.
Chapter 1 ( part 22 )
1. the anger of Elihu the son of Barachel the buzite from the family of ram burned against Job.
2. his anger burned because he justified himself before the CREATOR.
3. his anger burned against his 3 friends,
4. for they had found no answer yet had condemned Job.
5. Elihu had waited to speak to Job,
6. because they were years older than he.
7. Elihu saw there was no answer in the mouth of the 3 men his anger burned,
8. Elihu the son of Barachel the buzite spoke out.
9. saying i am young in years and you are old,
10. therefore i was shy and afraid to tell you what i think.
11. i thought age should speak,
12. that increased years should teach wisdom.
13. by Spirit is man,
14. by the Breath of the ALMIGHTY gives them understanding.
15. for abundant in years may not be wise,
16. nor may the Elders understand justice.
17. so i say listen to me as i too will tell what i think,
18. behold i waited for your words.
19. i listened to your reasonings even as you pondered what to say,
20. i even paid close attention to you.
21. indeed there was no one who refuted Job,
22. not one of you who answered his words.
23. do not say we have found wisdom,
24. for GOD will rout him not a male.
25. for he has not arranged his words against me,
26. nor will i reply to him with your arguments.
27. you are dismayed and no longer answer,
28. for your words have failed you.
29. yet shall i wait because you do not speak,
30. because you stop and no longer answer.
31. i too will answer my share and also tell my opinion,
32. for i am full of words for the Spirit within me has constrained me.
33. behold my belly is like unvented wine,
34. like new wineskins about to burst.
35. let me speak to get relief,
36. let me open my lips and answer.
37. let me now be partial to no one,
38. nor flatter any male.
39. for i do not know how to flatter,
40. else my MAKER would soon take me away.
41. however now Job please hear my speech,
42. listen to all my words.
43. behold now i open my mouth,
44. for the tongue in my mouth speaks.
45. my words are from the uprightness of my heart,
46. my lips speak knowledge sincerely.
47. the SPIRIT of GOD has made me,
48. the Breath of the ALMIGHTY gives me life.
49. refute me if you can and array yourself,
50. before me take your stand.
51. behold i belong to GOD like you,
52. i too have been formed out of the clay.
53. behold no fear of me should terrify you,
54. nor should my pressure weigh heavily on you.
55. surely you have spoken in my hearing,
56. i have heard the sound of your words.
57. i am pure without transgression,
58. i am innocent and there is no guilt in me.
59. behold He invents pretexts against me,
60. He counts me as His Enemy.
61. He puts my feet in the stocks,
62. He Watches all my paths.
63. behold let me tell you you are not right in this,
64. for GoD is greater than a male.
65. why do you complain against Him?
66. for He does not give an account of all His Doings?
67. indeed GOD Speaks once,
68. twice no one notices.
69. in a dream or vision of the night,
70. when sound sleep falls on men.
71. while they slumber in their beds,
72. then He opens the ears of men and seals their instruction.
73. He may turn a male aside from his conduct,
74. or keeps a male from pride.
75. He keeps back his soul from the pit,
76. his life from passing over into sheol.
77. as a male is also chastened with pain on his bed,
78. with unceasing complaint in his bones.
79. so his life he loathes,
80. like bread his soul has favor for food.
81. his flesh wastes away from sight,
82. his bones which were not seen stick out.
83. then his soul draws near to the pit,
84. his life to those who bring death.
85. if there is an Angel as mediator for him as 1 out of a 1,000,
86. to declare to this male what is right and gracious.
87. saying Deliver him from the going down to the pit,
88. for i have found a Ransom for him.
89. let his flesh become fresher than his youth,
90. let him return to the days of his youthful vigor.
91. he will pray to GoD to accept him,
92. seeing his face with joy and restore his righteousness.
93. to this male he will sing to men saying i have sinned,
94. i perverted what is right and it is not proper for me.
95. He has Redeemed my soul from going to the pit,
96. my life shall see the LIGHT.
97. behold GOD does all these oftentimes with men,
98. brings back his soul from the pit that he may be enlightened with the LIGHT of LIFE.
99. pay attention Job,
100. listen and keep silent.
101. let me speak then if you have anything to say answer me,
102. speak for i desire to justify you.
103. if not listen to me and keep silent,
104. i will teach you wisdom.
Chapter 1 ( part 23 )
1. then Elihu continued.
2. saying hear my words you wise men,
3. listen to me you who know for the ear tests words as the palate tastes food.
4. let us choose for ourselves what is right,
5. let us know among ourselves what is good.
6. for Job has said i am righteous,
7. GOD has taken away my right.
8. should i lie concerning my right?
9. for my wound is incurable though i am without transgression.
10. what male is like Job who drinks up derision like water,
11. who goes in company with the workers of iniquity and walks with wicked men.
12. for he has said it profits a male nothing when he is pleased with the CREATOR,
13. therefore listen to me you men of understanding.
14. far be it from GOD to do wickedness,
15. the ALMIGHTY to do wrong.
16. He pays a male according to his work,
17. makes him find it according to His Way.
18. surely GOD will not act wickedly,
19. the ALMIGHTY will not pervert justice.
20. who gave Him authority over the earth?
21. who has laid on Him the whole world?
22. if He should determine to gather His Spirit and His Breath,
23. all flesh would perish together as man would return to dust.
24. but if you have understanding hear this,
25. listen to the sound of my words.
26. shall one who hates justice rule?
27. will you condemn the Righteous Mighty One?
28. Who says to a king you worthless one,
29. to nobles you wicked ones.
30. Who shows no partiality to princes,
31. nor regards the rich above the poor.
32. for they all are the Work of His Hands,
33. in a moment they die.
34. at midnight people shake and pass away,
35. the mighty are taken away without a hand.
36. His Eyes are upon the ways of man,
37. He Sees all their steps.
38. there is no darkness or deep shadow,
39. where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.
40. He does not consider man further,
41. for they will go before GOD for Judgment.
42. He breaks in pieces mighty men without inquiry,
43. sets others in their place therefore He Knows their works.
44. He overthrows them in the night and they are crushed,
45. He strikes them like the wicked in a public place.
46. because they turned aside from following Him,
47. they had no regard for any of His Ways.
48. the cry of the poor comes to Him,
49. that He might Hear the cry of the afflicted.
50. when He keeps quiet who then can condemn?
51. when He hides His Face who then can behold Him?
52. in regard to both nation and man,
53. so that godless men should not rule as snares to the people.
54. for has anyone said to GOD?
55. i have borne chastisement so i will not offend.
56. teach me what i do not see,
57. if i have done iniquity i will not do it again.
58. shall He repay on your terms,
59. because you have rejected it.
60. for you must choose and not i,
61. therefore declare what you know.
62. men of understanding will say to me,
63. as a wise male who hears me.
64. Job speaks without knowledge,
65. his words are without wisdom.
66. Job ought to be tried to the limit,
67. because he answers like wicked men for he adds rebellion to his sin.
68. he claps his hands among us,
69. multiplies his words against GOD.
Chapter 1 ( part 24 )
1. Elihu continued.
2. saying do you think this is according to justice?
3. do you say my righteousness is more than GOD's?
4. for you say what advantage will it be to you,
5. what profit will i have more than if i had sinned?
6. i will answer you and your friends look to the heavens and see,
7. behold the clouds are higher than you.
8. if you have sinned what do you accomplish against Him?
9. if your transgressions are many what do you do to Him?
10. if you are righteous what do you give to Him?
11. or what does He receive from your hand?
12. your wickedness is for man like yourself,
13. your righteousness is for the Sons of Mankind.
14. because of the multitude of oppressions they cry out,
15. they cry for help toward the Arm of the Mighty.
16. but no one says where is GoD?
17. my MAKER Who gives songs in the night.
18. Who teaches us more than the beasts of the earth.
19. makes us wiser than the birds of the heavens.
20. there they cry out but He does not Answer,
21. because of the pride of evil is in man.
22. surely GOD will not listen to an empty cry,
23. nor will the ALMIGHTY regard it.
24. how much less when you say you do not behold Him,
25. the case is before Him and you must wait for Him.
26. now because He has not visited in His Anger,
27. nor has He Acknowledged your transgressions as well.
28. so Job opens his mouth emptily,
29. he multiplies words without knowledge.
Chapter 1 ( part 25 )
1. Elihu continued saying.
2. wait with me a little,
3. i will show you that there is yet more to be said in GoD's behalf.
4. i will fetch my knowledge from afar,
5. i will ascribe righteousness to my Maker.
6. for truly my words are not false,
7. One Who is perfect in knowledge is with you.
8. behold GOD is Mighty but does not despise,
9. He is Mighty in Strength and Understanding.
10. He does not keep the wicked alive,
11. but gives justice to the afflicted.
12. He does not withdraw His Eyes from the righteous,
13. with kings on the throne He seated them forever exalted.
14. if they are bound in fetters,
15. or caught in the cords of affliction.
16. then He Declares to them their work,
17. by their transgressions that they have magnified themselves by.
18. He opens their ear to instruction,
19. Commands them to return from evil.
20. if they hear and serve Him they will end their days in prosperity,
21. their years in pleasures.
22. if they do not hear they shall perish by the sword,
23. they will die without knowledge.
24. but the godless in heart lay up anger,
25. they do not cry for help when He binds them.
26. they die in youth of their life,
27. as among the cult prostitutes.
28. He Delivers the afflicted in their affliction,
29. opens their ear in time of oppression.
30. then indeed He enticed you,
31. by the mouth of distress.
32. instead of it a broad place with no constraint,
33. that which was set on your table was full of fatness.
34. but you were full of judgment on the wicked,
35. judgment and justice has take in hold of you.
36. beware wrath does not entice you to scoffing,
37. do not let the greatness of the ransom turn you aside.
38. will your riches keep you from distress?
39. or all the forces of your strength?
40. do not long for the night when people vanish from their place,
41. be careful and do not turn to evil for you may preferred this to affliction.
42. behold GOD is Exalted in His Power,
43. who is a teacher to Him?
44. who has appointed Him His Way?
45. who has said He has done wrong?
46. remember you should exalt His Work,
47. that which men have sung.
48. all men have seen it,
49. man beholds it from afar.
50. behold GOD is exalted and we do not know Him,
51. the number of His Years is unsearchable.
52. for He draws up the drops of water and distills rain from the mist,
53. which the clouds pour down to drip upon man abundantly.
54. can anyone understand the spreading of the clouds?
55. or the thundering of His Pavilion?
56. behold He spreads His Lightning about Him,
57. He covers the depths of the sea.
58. for by these He Judges peoples,
59. He Gives food in abundance.
60. He covers His Hands with lightning,
61. Commands it to strike the mark.
62. its noise declares His Presence,
63. the cattle also concerning what is coming up.
64. at this also my heart trembles,
65. it leaps from its place.
66. listen closely to the thunder of His Voice,
67. the rumbling that goes out from His Mouth.
68. under the whole heaven He lets it loose,
69. His Lightning to the ends of the earth.
70. after it a voice roars,
71. He Thunders with His Majestic Voice.
72. He does not restrain the lightnings,
73. for His Voice is heard.
74. GOD thunders with His Voice Wondrously,
75. Doing Great Things which we cannot comprehend.
76. for to the snow He Says fall on the earth,
77. to the downpouring rain be strong.
78. He seals the hand of every male,
79. that all men may know His Work.
80. then the beast goes into its lair,
81. and remains in its den.
82. out of the south comes the storm,
83. out of the north the cold.
84. from the Breath of GOD ice is made,
85. the expanse of the waters is frozen.
86. also with moisture He loads the thick cloud,
87. He disperses the cloud with His Lightning.
88. it changes direction by turning around by His Guidance,
89. He does whatever He Commands on the face of the inhabited earth.
90. whether for correction or for His World,
91. or by Lovingkindness He causes it to happen.
92. listen to this Job and take a stand,
93. consider the Wonders of GOD.
94. do you know how GoD Establishes them?
95. or makes the lightning in His Clouds to shine?
96. do you know about the layers of the thick clouds?
97. the Wonders of One Perfect in Knowledge?
98. you whose garments are hot when the land is still,
99. because of the south wind.
100. can you like Him spread out the skies?
101. strong as a molten mirror?
102. teach us what we shall say to Him,
103. we cannot arrange our case because of darkness.
104. shall it be told to Him that i would speak?
105. or should that male say and he would be swallowed up.
106. now men do not see the lights which are bright in the skies,
107. for the wind has to pass so they are clear.
108. for north comes as gold around us,
109. GoD is Awesome and Majesty.
110. the ALMIGHTY we cannot find Him for He is exalted in power,
111. He will not do violence to justice but give abundant righteousness.
112. therefore men fear Him,
113. He does not regard any who are wise of heart.
Chapter 1 ( part 26 )
1. then YHVH Answered Job out of the whirlwind,
2. Saying who is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge?
3. now gird up your loins like a male,
4. for I will Ask you and you instruct Me.
5. where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth?
6. tell Me if you have this understanding.
7. who set its measurements since you should know?
8. or who stretched the line on it and what were its bases sunk?
9. or who laid its cornerstone when the morning stars sang together,
10. for all the sons of the CREATOR shouted for joy?
11. or who enclosed the sea with doors?
12. when it bursting forth going out from the womb.
13. when I made the clouds for a garment, }}
14. as thick darkness for its swaddling band.
15. I placed boundaries on it,
16. I set the bolt and doors.
17. I Said thus far you shall come but no farther,
18. here shall your proud waves stop?
19. have you ever in your life commanded the morning?
20. causing the dawn to know its place.
21. that it might take hold of the ends of the earth,
22. so the wicked are shaken out of it?
23. it is changed like clay under the seal,
24. it stands forth like a garment.
25. from the wicked their light is withheld,
26. the uplifted arm is broken.
27. have you entered into the springs of the sea?
28. or walked in the recesses of the deep?
29. have the gates of death been revealed to you?
30. or have you seen the gates of deep darkness?
31. have you understood the expanse of the earth?
32. so tell Me if you know all this.
33. where is the way of the dwelling of light and darkness? }}
34. where is its place that you may take it to its territory?
35. that you may discern the paths to its home.

Chapter 1 ( part 27 )
1. then YHVH Said,
2. Job will the faultfinder contend with the ALMIGHTY?
3. let him who reproves GoD answer,
4. Job answered YHVH.
5. saying behold i am insignificant,
6. what can i reply to You for i lay my hand on my mouth.
7. once You have Spoken and i will not answer,
8. even twice and i will add nothing more.
9. YHVH Answered Job out of the storm Saying now gird up your loins like a male,
10. I will Ask you and you instruct Me.
11. will you really annul My Judgment?
12. will you condemn Me that you may be justified?
13. or do you have an arm like GOD?

19. to look on everyone who is proud and humble him,
20. tread down the wicked where they stand.
21. hide them in the dust together,
22. bind them in a hidden place.
23. then I will also confess to you,
24. your own right hand can save you.
25. behold now behemoth which I made as well as you,
26. he eats grass like an ox.

109. he looks on everything from on high,
110. for he is king over all the sons of pride. }}
Chapter 1 ( part 28 )
1. Job answered YHVH,
2. saying i know You can do all things.
3. for no purpose of Yours can be thwarted,
4. as for who is this that hides counsel without knowledge is i.
5. therefore i have declared that which i did not understand,
6. things too wonderful for me which i did not know.
7. hear now and i will speak,
8. i will ask You to instruct me.
9. i have heard of You by the hearing of the ear,
10. now my eye sees You.
11. therefore i retract,
12. i repent in dust and ashes.
Chapter 1 ( part 29 )
1. came after YHVH had Spoken these Words to Job,
2. YHVH Said Eliphaz the temanite My Wrath is kindled against you.
3. and against your 2 friends,
4. because you have not spoken of Me as what is right as My Servant Job has.
5. now therefore take for yourselves,
6. 7 bulls and 7 rams.
7. go to My servant Job,
8. Offer them up as a Burnt Offering for yourselves.
9. My Servant Job will pray for you,
10. I will accept from him so that i may not do with you for your folly.
11. because you have not spoken of Me,
12. as what is right as My Servant Job has.
13. so Eliphaz the temanite Bildad the shuhite Zophar the naamathite went and did as YHVH Told them,
14. for YHVH Accepted Job.
15. YHVH restored the fortunes of Job when he prayed for his friends,
16. YHVH increased all that Job had 2-fold.
17. then all his brothers all his sisters and all who had known him before came to him,
18. they ate bread with him in his house.
19. they consoled him and comforted him for all the adversities YHVH had brought on him,
