GENESIS

Chapter 1

1. in the beginning,
2. the CREATOR Created the heavens and earth.
3. earth was formless and void,
4. darkness was over the surface of the deep.

5. the SPIRIT of the CREATOR moved over the surface of waters,
6. the CREATOR Said let there be Light.
7. there was Light,
8. the CREATOR Sees Light as good.

9. the CREATOR separated Light from darkness,
10. the CREATOR Called Light Day.
11. darkness HE Called Night,
12. evening and morning were the 1st day.

13. the CREATOR Said let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters,
14. this separated the waters from waters.
15. the CREATOR made the expanse,
16. separating the waters.

17. that which were below the expanse,
18. from waters which were above the expanse.
19. so the CREATOR Called the expanse Heaven,
20. evening and morning were the 2nd day.

21. the CREATOR Said for the waters below the heaven to be gathered into 1 place,
22. Dry Land appear.
23. so the CREATOR Called the Dry Land Earth,
24. the gathering of waters HE Called Sea.

25. the CREATOR Sees this as Good,
26. the CREATOR Said earth sprout vegetation with plants yielding seed.
27. fruit trees bearing fruit from their kinds of seeds on earth,
28. this was so for earth brought forth vegetation.

29. plants yielding seeds from their kind,
30. trees bearing fruit seeds from their kind.
31. the CREATOR Sees this as Good,
32. evening and morning were the 3rd day.

33. the CREATOR Said let there be lights in the expanse for a heaven,
34. to separate day from night.
35. as Signs for the seasons,
36. for days and years.

37. the lights in the expanse of the heavens are to give light to earth,
38. this was so for the CREATOR made 2 great lights.
39. the greater light to govern the Day and the lesser light to govern the Night,
40. the stars also the CREATOR placed in the expanse for a heaven.

41. giving light to the earth to govern Day,
42. Night separated light from darkness.
43. the CREATOR Sees this as Good,
44. evening and morning were the 4th day.

45. the CREATOR Said let the waters teem,
46. with swarms of living creatures.
47. let birds fly above earth,
48. in the open expanse of heaven.

49. the CREATOR Created the great sea monsters,
50. and every living creature that moves.
51. thus the waters swarmed after their kind,
52. every winged bird after their kind.

53. the CREATOR Sees this as good,
54. the CREATOR Blessed them Saying be fruitful and multiply.
55. fill the waters of the sea and let birds multiply on earth,
56. evening and morning were the 5th day.

57. the CREATOR Said let earth bring forth living creatures after their kind,
58. cattle  creeping things and beasts for earth after their kind.
59. so the CREATOR made beasts for earth after their kind,
60. and cattle after their kind.

61. everything that creeps on the ground after their kind,
62. the CREATOR Sees this as Good.
63. the CREATOR Said let ME will make man in OUR Image,
64. according to OUR Likeness.

65. let him rule over the fish of the sea,
66. over the birds of the sky.
67. over cattle and over all earth,
68. over every creeping thing that creeps on earth.

69. the CREATOR created man in HIS Own Image,
70. in the Image of the CREATOR HE Created male and female.
71. HE Created them and the CREATOR Blessed them,
72. the CREATOR Said be fruitful and multiply to fill the earth and subdue. ]]

73. to rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky,
74. over every living thing that moves on earth.
75. the CREATOR Said behold,
76. I have Given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of all earth.

77. every tree which has fruit yielding seed,
78. this shall be food for you.
79. every beast on earth and every bird in the sky,
80. every thing that moves on the earth which has life.

81. every green plant for food,
82. so the CREATOR Saw all that HE Made.
83. behold this was Very Good,
84. evening and morning the 6th day.

85. thus the heavens and the earth were completed,
86. all their hosts on the 7th day.
87. the CREATOR completed HIS Work,
88. that which HE had Done.

89. HE Rested on the 7th day,
90. from all HIS Work which HE had Done.
91. the CREATOR Blessed the 7th Day,
92. Sanctified because HE Rested from all HIS Work.

93. from which the CREATOR Created and Made,
94. this is the account,
95. of the heavens and earth were Created.
96. the Days YHVH the CREATOR made earth and heaven.

Chapter 2

1. now no shrub in the field was yet in the earth.
2. no plant in the field had yet sprouted.
3. YHVH the CREATOR had not sent rain upon the earth.
4. there was no male to work the ground.

5. a dew used to rise from the earth.
6. to water the whole surface of the ground.
7. YHVH the CREATOR formed male from the dust from the ground.
8. Breathed into his nostrils the Breath of Life.

9. Adam became a living being.
10. YHVH the CREATOR planted a garden. {{ toward the east }
11. Eden is where HE placed Adam whom HE had formed out of the ground.
12. for YHVH the CREATOR caused {{{ Eden to grow.

13. every tree pleasing to the sight is good for food.
14. the Tree of Life was in the midst of the garden.
15. with the Tree of the Knowledge of good and evil.
16. a river flowed out of Eden to water the garden.

17. {{ there divided becoming 4 rivers.
18. the name of the 1st is pishon.
19. this flows around the whole land of havilah.
20. where there is gold.

21. gold of that land is good.
22. the bdellium and onyx stone are there.
23. the name of the 2nd river is gihon.
24. this flows around the whole land of cush.

25. the name of the 3rd river is tigris.
26. this flows east of assyria.
27. the 4th river is the euphrates.}}

28. YHVH the CREATOR took Adam. }}
29. put him into the garden of Eden to serve and keep.

30. for YHVH the CREATOR Commanded Adam.
31. Saying from any tree of the garden you may eat freely.
32. but from the Tree of the Knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat.
33. for in the day that you eat from you shall surely die.

34. out of the ground YHVH the CREATOR formed every beast in the field. }}
35. every bird in the sky.

36. HE Brought them to Adam to see what he would call them.
37. whatever Adam called a living creature was the name.
38. Adam gave names to all the cattle.
39. to the birds of the sky and every beast in the field.

40. YHVH the CREATOR Said this is not good for Adam to be alone.
41. I will make him a helper suitable for him.
42. for Adam there was not found a helper suitable for him.
43. YHVH the CREATOR caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam.

44. as he slept HE took 1 of his ribs.
45. and closed up the flesh at that place.
46. YHVH the CREATOR fashioned this into a woman.
47. from the rib which HE had taken from Adam.

48. HE Brought her to the male.
49. Adam said this is now bone from my bones and flesh from my flesh.
50. she shall be called woman.
51. because she was taken out of male.

52. for this cause a male shall leave his father and his mother.
53. for he shall cleave to his wife.
54. they shall become 1 flesh.
55. Adam and his wife were both naked and were not ashamed.

Chapter 3

1. the serpent was more crafty than any beast in the field.
2. which YHVH the CREATOR had made.
3. he said to the woman has indeed the CREATOR Said?
4. you shall not eat from any tree of the garden?

5. the woman said to the serpent.
6. from the fruit of the trees in the garden we may eat.
7. but from the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden.
8. the CREATOR has Said you shall not eat from or touch lest you die.

9. the serpent said to the woman you surely shall not die.
10. for the CREATOR Knows in the day you eat your eyes will be opened.
11. you will be like the CREATOR.
12. knowing good and evil.

13. the woman saw the tree was good for food.
14. and a delight to the eyes.
15. that the tree was desirable to give wisdom.
16. she took a fruit and ate.

17. she gave also to her husband.
18. he ate and the eyes of both of them were opened.
19. they knew they were naked.
20. they sewed fig leaves together making themselves loin coverings.

21. they heard the Sound of YHVH the CREATOR.
22. Walking in the garden in the cool of the day.
23. Adam and his wife hid themselves from the Presence of YHVH the CREATOR.
24. among the trees of the garden.

25. YHVH the CREATOR Called to Adam.
26. Saying where are you?
27. he said i heard the sound of YOU in the garden.
28. i was afraid because i was naked so i hid myself.

29. HE Said who told you that you were naked?
30. or have you eaten from the Tree of which I Commanded you not to eat?
31. Adam said the woman whom YOU Gave me.
32. she gave me from the tree and i ate.

33. YHVH the CREATOR Said to woman what is this you have done?
34. the woman said the serpent deceived me and i ate.
35. YHVH the CREATOR Said to the serpent.
36. because you have done this.

37. cursed are you more than all cattle.
38. more than every beast in the field.
39. on your belly shall you go and dust shall you eat,
40. all the days of your life.

41. I will put hostility between you and the woman.
42. between your seed and her seed.
43. He shall bruise you on the head.
44. you shall bruise Him on the heel.

45. to the woman HE Said.
46. I will greatly multiply your pain in childbirth.
47. in pain you shall bring forth children.
48. your desire shall be for your husband and he shall rule over you.

49. to Adam HE Said because you listened to the voice of your wife.
50. to eat from the Tree which I Commanded.
51. Saying you shall not eat from.
52. cursed is the ground because of you.

53. in toil you shall eat all the days of your life.
54. both thorns and thistles shall grow for you.
55. you shall eat the plants in the field.
56. by the sweat of your face you shall eat bread.

57. {{ until you return to the ground.
58. because you were taken.
59. you are dust and to dust you shall return. }

60. Adam called his wife's name Eve.
61. because she was the mother of all the living.
62. YHVH the CREATOR Made garments of skin.
63. Adam and his wife were clothed.

64. YHVH the CREATOR Said behold.
65. Adam has become one knowing good and evil.
66. now lest he stretch-out his hand to take also from the Tree of Life.
67. eat and live forever.

68. YHVH the CREATOR sent him out from the garden of Eden.
69. to serve the ground from which he was taken.
70. HE drove Adam out east of the garden of Eden.
71. HE stationed Cherubim {{ with flaming sword which they turned in every direction } to guard the way to the Tree of Life.

Chapter 4

1. Adam had relations with his wife Eve.
2. she conceived and gave birth to Cain.
3. she said i have gotten a malechild from YHVH.
4. again she gave birth to his brother Abel.

5. Abel was a keeper of flocks.
6. Cain was a tiller of the ground.
7. came in the course of time.
8. Cain brought an Offering to YHVH from the 1st fruits of the ground.

9. Abel on his part also brought.
10. the Firstlings of his flock and their Fat Portions.
11. YHVH had Regard for Abel's Offering.
12. for Cain's Offering HE had no regard.

13. Cain became very angry.
14. his countenance fell.
15. YHVH Said Cain why are you angry?
16. why has your countenance fallen?

17. for if you do well will you not be lifted up.
18. if you do not do well sin is crouching at the door.
19. a desire you must master.  }}

20. Cain rejected Abel his brother.
21. this was as they were in the field.
22. Cain rose up against Abel.
23. his brother killed him.

24. YHVH Said Cain where is Abel your brother?
25. he said i do not know for am i my brothers keeper?
26. HE Said what have you done?
27. for the voice of your brother's blood is crying to ME from the ground.

28. now you are cursed by the ground.
29. which opened a mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand.
30. you will serve the ground for no longer {{{ will the earth yield strength for you.
31. you shall be a vagrant and a wanderer on earth.

32. Cain said YHVH my punishment is too great to bear.
33. behold YOU have driven me this day from the face of the ground.
34. from YOUR Face i shall be hidden.
35. as a vagrant wandering the earth come whoever finds me will kill me.

36. YHVH Said therefore whoever kills Cain.
37. vengeance will be taken on him 7-fold.
38. YHVH Appointed a Sign for Cain.
39. lest anyone finding him should slay him.

40. Cain went out from the Presence of YHVH.
41. he settled in the land of nod east of Eden.
42. Cain had relations with his wife.
43. she conceived and gave birth to Enoch.

44. he built a city.
45. he called the name of the city Enoch after the name of his son.
46. to Enoch was born Irad.
47. Irad became the father of Mehujael.
