EZEKIEL
Chapter 1
1. {{ came in the 30th year.
2. on the 5th day of the 4th month.
3. while i was by the river chebar among the exiles.
4. the heavens were opened and i saw visions of the CREATOR.}
5. {( on the 5th of the month in the 5th year of king Jehoiachin's exile.
6. the Word from YHVH came expressly to Ezekiel the Priest the son of Buzi.
7. in the land of the chaldeans by the river chebar.
8. there the Hand of YHVH came upon me. )}
9. as i looked behold a storm wind was coming from the north.
10. a great cloud with fire flashing forth.
11. a bright light around and in the midst something like glowing metal.
12. in the midst of the fire within were figures resembling 4 living beings.
13. this was their appearance that had a male's form.
14. each of them had 4 faces and 4 wings.
15. their legs were straight and their feet were like a calf's hoof.
16. they gleamed like burnished bronze.
17. under their wings on 4 sides were a male's hands.
18. they had faces and wings of 4.
19. the wings touched one another and did not flutter.
20. they moved altogether continuing straight forward.
21. each form had faces like a face of a male.
22. the 4 had faces of a lion on the right.
23. the face of a bull on the left.
24. the 4 had the face of an eagle such were the faces.
25. their wings were spread out above.
26. each had 2 touching another and 2 covering their bodies.
27. they moved altogether continuing straight forward.
28. wherever the spirit was about to go going without turning they went.
29. in the midst of the living beings there was something that looked like
burning coals of fire.
30. like torches darting back and forth among the living beings.
31. the fire was bright as lightning was flashing from the fire.
32. these living things ran to and fro like bolts of lightning.
33. now as i looked at the living beings.
34. behold there was each 1 a wheel on the earth beside the living
beings for the 4.
35. the appearance of the wheels and their workmanship was like
sparkling yellow-stone.
36. for all 4 of them had the same form in appearance.
37. the workmanship being as if 1 wheel were within another.
38. as they moved in unison in any of the 4 directions without
turning as they moved.
39. as for their rims they were lofty and awesome.
40. for the rims of all 4 of them were full of eyes round about.
41. whenever the living beings moved the wheels moved with them.
42. whenever the living beings rose from the earth the wheels rose.
43. wherever the spirit was about to go they would go in that direction.
44. the wheels rose close beside them for the spirit of the living
beings was in the wheels.
45. whenever those went these went.
46. whenever those stood still these stood still.
47. whenever those rose from the earth the wheels rose close beside them.
48. the spirit of the living beings was in the wheels.
49. over the heads of the living beings was an expanse.
50. an awesome gleam of crystal extended over their heads.
51. under the expanse their wings straight 1 toward the other.
52. as each 1 also had 2 wings covering their bodies on the 1 side
and on the other.
53. i heard the sound of their wings.
54. like the sound of abundant waters.
55. they were as the Voice of the ALMIGHTY.
56. a sound of tumult like the sound of an army camp.
57. whenever they stood still they dropped their wings.
58. for there came a Voice from above.
59. from the expanse that was over their heads.
60. therefore they stood still and dropped their wings.
61. above the expanse that was over their heads.
62. there was something resembling a throne.
63. like sparkling-blue-light in appearance which resembled a throne.
64. high up was a Figure with the Appearance of a MALE.
65. i noticed from the Appearance of HIS Loins and upward.
66. was something like glowing metal that looked like fire all around from within.
67. from the Appearance of HIS Loins and downward.
68. i saw something like fire with a radiance around HIM.
69. as the appearance of the rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day.
70. was the Appearance of the Surrounding Radiance.
71. such was the Appearance of the Likeness of the Glory of YHVH that i saw,
72. i fell on my face as i heard a Voice Speaking.
73. HE Said to me son of man stand on your feet.
74. that I may Speak with you.
75. as HE Spoke to me the Spirit entered me setting me on my feet.
76. i heard HIM Speaking to me.
77. HE Said to me son of man.
78. I AM sending you to the sons of Israel.
79. a rebellious people who have rebelled against ME.
80. they and their fathers have transgressed against ME to this very day.
81. I AM sending you to them who are a stubborn and obstinate children.
82. so say to them thus Says LORD YHVH.
83. whether they listen or not, {{ for they are a rebellious house.}
84. they will know that a Prophet has been among them.
85. you son of man neither fear them nor fear their words.
86. as though thistles and thorns to you. {{ you live with scorpions.}
87. neither fear their words nor be dismayed at their presence,
{{ for they are a rebellious house.}
88. you will speak MY Words to them whether they listen or not.
89. they are rebellious so son of man listen.
90. what I AM Speaking to you.
91. do not be rebellious like that rebellious house.
92. open your mouth and eat what I AM Giving you.
93. i looked behold a hand was extended to me.
94. behold a scroll for HE Spread this out before me.
95. this was written on the front and back.
96. written were lamentations mourning and woe.
97. HE Said son of man eat what you find.
98. eat this scroll and go speak to the house of Israel.
99. i opened my mouth.
100. HE fed me this scroll.
101. HE Said son of man feed your stomach.
102. fill your body with this scroll.
103. that which I AM Giving you eat.
104. for this is sweet as honey in your mouth.
105. HE Said son of man go to the house of Israel.
106. speak MY Words to them.
107. you are not being sent to a people of unintelligible speech.
108. or of difficult language but to the house of Israel.
109. nor to many peoples of unintelligible speech.
110. or of difficult language whose words you cannot understand.
111. I AM Sending you to who should listen to you.
112. yet the house of Israel will not be willing to listen to you.
113. since they are not willing to listen to ME.
114. surely the whole house of Israel is stubborn and obstinate.
115. behold I have Made your face as hard as their faces.
116. your forehead as hard as their foreheads.
117. like emery. ]
118. harder than flint I have made your forehead.
119. do not be afraid or be dismayed before them.
120. though they are a rebellious house.
121. HE Said son of man take to your heart all MY Words.
122. that which I shall Speak to you listen closely.
123. go to the exiles.
124. the sons of your people.
125. speak and tell them.
126. whether they listen or not.
127. thus Says LORD YHVH.
128. and the Spirit lifted me up.
129. i heard a great rumbling sound behind me.
130. Bless and give Glory to YHVH in HIS Place.
131. the sound of the wings of the living beings touching one another.
132. the sound of the wheels beside them even a great rumbling sound.
Chapter 2 3:14
1. so the Spirit lifted me up.
2. taking me away.
3. i went embittered in the rage of my spirit.
4. the Hand of YHVH was Strong on me.
5. i came to the exiles.
6. who lived beside the river chebar at tel-abib.
7. i sat there 7 days where they were living.
8. i was appalled among them.
9. came about at the end of 7 days.
10. the Word from YHVH came to me Saying.
11. son of man I have Appointed you as a Watchman to the house of Israel.
12. whenever you hear a Word from MY Mouth warn them from ME.
13. when I Say to the wicked you shall surely die and you do not warn him.
14. or speak out to warn the wicked from his wicked way that he may live.
15. that wicked male shall die in his iniquity.
16. his blood I will require at your hand.
17. if you have warned the wicked.
18. and he does not turn from his wickedness or from his wicked way.
19. he shall die in his iniquity.
20. but you have delivered yourself.
21. again when a righteous male turns away as from his righteousness.
22. and commits iniquity as I place an obstacle before him he shall die.
23. since you have not warned him he shall die from his sins.
24. his righteous deeds which he has done shall not be remembered.
25. {{ but his blood I will require at your hand}
26. however if you have warned the righteous male.
27. that the righteous should not sin.
28. he does not sin he shall surely live.
29. because he took warning from you you have delivered yourself.
Chapter 3 3:22
1. the Hand of YHVH was on me there.
2. HE Said get up go out to the plain.
3. there I will Speak to you.
4. so i got up and went out to the plain.
5. behold the Glory of YHVH was Present there.
6. like the Glory which i saw by the river chebar.
7. as i fell on my face the Spirit entered me and made me stand on my feet.
8. HE Spoke Saying go shut yourself up in your house.
9. son of man I will put ropes on you.
10. binding you that you cannot go among them.
11. I will make your tongue stick to the roof of your mouth.
12. you will be dumb and cannot be a male who rebukes them.
{{ for they are a rebellious house.}
13. when I Speak open your mouth.
14. say thus Says LORD YHVH.
15. he who hears let him hear.
16. he who refuses let him refuse and rebukes them.
{{ for they are a rebellious house.}
17. you son of man get yourself a brick to place before you.
18. inscribe City of Jerusalem.
19. lay siege against this by building a siege wall.
20. raise up a ramp pitch camps place battering rams against all around.
21. get yourself an iron plate.
22. set up as an iron wall between you and the City.
23. set your face toward so that this is under siege.
24. besiege for this is a Sign to the house of Israel.
25. lie down on your left side as for laying for the iniquity
by the house of Israel.
26. you shall bear their iniquity for the number of days that you lie.
27. I assigned you a number of days corresponding to the years
of their iniquity.
28. 390 days thus you shall bear the iniquity for the house of Israel.
29. having completed these you shall lie down a 2nd time on your right side.
30. to bear the iniquity by the house of Judah.
31. I have assigned to you 40 days.
32. a day for each year.
33. you shall set your face toward the siege of Jerusalem.
34. with your arm bared and Prophesy against.
35. behold I will put ropes on you so that you cannot turn 1 side to the other.
36. until you have completed the days of your siege.
37. take wheat barley beans lentils millet and spelt.
38. put them in 1 vessel and make bread for yourself.
39. you shall eat according to the number of the days.
40. you will lie on your side 390 days.
41. your food which you eat is 20 shekels a day by weight.
42. you shall eat from time to time.
43. the water you drink will be the 6th part of a hin by measure.
44. you shall drink from time to time.
45. you shall eat as a barley cake.
46. having baked in their sight over human dung.
47. YHVH Said thus shall the sons of Israel eat their bread.
48. unclean among the nations where I shall banish them.
49. i said ah LORD YHVH.
50. behold i have never been defiled.
51. for from my youth until now i have never eaten what died from
whatever or was torn by beasts.
52. nor has any unclean meat ever entered my mouth.
53. HE Said see I shall Give you cow's dung in place of human dung.
54. over which you will prepare your bread.
55. HE Said son of man behold.
56. I AM going to break the staff of bread in Jerusalem.
57. they will eat bread by weight and with anxiety.
58. drink water by measure in horror.
59. because bread and water will be scarce.
60. they will be appalled with one another and waste away in their iniquity.
61. son of man take a sharp sword.
62. take to use as a barber's razor on your head and beard.
63. take scales for weighing.
64. divide the hair.
65. 1/3rd you shall burn in the fire.
66. at the center of the City.
67. when the days of the siege are completed.
68. take 1/3rd and strike with the sword all around the City.
69. 1/3rd you shall scatter to the wind.
70. I will unsheathe a sword behind them.
71. take a few in number from them.
72. bind them in the edges of your robe.
73. take again some of them and throw them into the fire.
74. burn in the fire for a fire will spread to all the house of Israel.
75. thus Says LORD YHVH this is Jerusalem.
76. I set her at the center of the nations with lands around her.
77. she has rebelled against MY Ordinances more wickedly than the nations.
78. against MY Statutes more than the lands which surround her.
79. they have rejected MY Ordinances and not walked in MY Statutes.
80. therefore thus Says LORD YHVH.
81. inasmuch as you are having more turmoil.
82. as among the nations which surround you.
83. having not walked in MY Statutes nor observed MY Ordinances.
84. nor observed the Ordinances to the nations which surround you.
85. therefore thus Says LORD YHVH behold I even I AM against you.
86. I will Execute Judgments among you in the sight of the nations.
87. because of all your abominations.
88. I will Do among you what I have not done and the like of which
I will never Do again.
89. therefore fathers will eat their sons among you.
90. sons will eat their fathers.
91. for I will Execute Judgments on you.
92. scatter all your remnant to every wind.
93. so as I Live Declares LORD YHVH.
94. surely because you have defiled MY Sanctuary.
95. with all your detestable idols and all your abominations.
96. I will also withdraw and MY Eye shall have no pity for I will not spare.
97. 1/3rd of you will die by plague or be consumed by famine among you.
98. 1/3rd will fall by the sword around you.
99. 1/3rd I will scatter to every wind.
100. I will unsheathe a sword behind them.
101. MY Anger will be spent for I will Satisfy MY Wrath.
102. I shall be Appeased and they will know I YHVH have Spoken in MY Zeal.
103. I will Spend MY Wrath upon them to make you a desolation.
104. a reproach among the nations which surround you.
105. in the sight of all who pass by a reproach a reviling and a warning.
106. an object of horror to the nations who surround you.
107. I will Execute Judgments against you in Anger.
108. with Wrath and Raging Rebukes I YHVH have Spoken.
109. I will Send against you the deadly arrows of famine.
110. which were for the destruction of those whom I shall send to destroy you.
111. I shall also intensify the famine upon you.
112. breaking the staff of bread.
113. I will send on you famine and wild beasts.
114. they will bereave you of children.
115. plague and bloodshed also will pass through you.
116. I will bring the sword on you for I YHVH have Spoken.
Chapter 4 6:1
1. the Word from YHVH came to me Saying.
2. son of man set your face toward the Mountains of Israel and
Prophesy against them.
3. say Mountains of Israel.
4. listen to the Word of LORD YHVH.
5. thus Says LORD YHVH.
6. to the mountains hills ravines and the valleys.
7. behold I MYSELF AM going to bring a sword.
8. I will destroy your high places.
9. so your altars will become desolate.
10. your incense altars will be smashed.
11. I shall make your slain fall in front of your idols.
12. also I will lay the dead bodies of the sons of Israel in
front of their idols.
13. scattering your bones around your altars.
14. all your dwellings and cities will become a waste.
15. the high places will be desolate.
16. your altars will become a waste and desolate.
17. your idols will be broken.
18. brought to an end.
19. your incense altars will be cut down.
20. that your works may be blotted out.
21. the slain will fall among you to know that I AM YHVH.
22. I shall leave a remnant for you.
23. those who escaped the sword among the nations.
24. shall be scattered among the countries.
25. you who escape will remember ME among the nations.
26. to which you will be carried captive.
27. how I have been hurt by their adulterous hearts which turned away from ME.
28. by their eyes which played the harlot after their idols.
29. they will loathe themselves in their own sight.
30. for the evils which they have committed and for all their abominations.
31. they will know that I AM YHVH.
32. I have not Spoke in vain that I would inflict this disaster on them.
33. thus Says LORD YHVH.
34. clap your hand and stamp your foot.
35. say alas because of all the evil abominations in the house of Israel.
36. which is to fall by sword famine and plague.
37. he who is far off will die by the plague.
38. he who is near will fall by the sword.
39. he who remains and is besieged will die by famine.
40. thus shall I spend MY Wrath on them to know I AM YHVH.
41. so their slain are among their idols.
42. around their altars on every high hill on all the tops of the mountains.
43. under every green tree and under every leafy oak.
44. the places where they offered soothing aroma to all their idols.
45. in all their habitations I shall Stretch Out MY Hand.
46. against them to make the land beyond a desolation.
47. a waste more than the wilderness toward diblah.
48. thus they will know that I AM YHVH.
Chapter 5 7:1
1. [[ the Word from YHVH came to me Saying.
2. you son of man thus Says LORD YHVH to the Land of Israel.
3. the end of the end is coming on the 4 corners of the Land.
4. now the end is upon you.
5. I shall Send MY Anger against you.
6. I shall Judge you according to your ways.
7. bringing all your abominations upon you.
8. for MY Eye will have no pity on you.
9. nor shall I spare you.
10. I shall bring your ways upon you.
11. your abominations will be among you.
12. you will know that I AM YHVH. ]
13. thus Says LORD YHVH a disaster.
14. a unique disaster behold is coming.
15. the end is coming the end has come.
16. this has awakened against you behold this has come.
17. your doom has come to you inhabitants in the Land.
18. the time has come.
19. the day is near.
20. a tumult rather than joyful shouting on the mountains.
21. now I will shortly pour out MY Wrath on you.
22. spend MY Anger against you.
23. Judge you according to your ways.
24. bringing on you all your abominations.
25. MY Eye will show no pity nor will I spare.
26. I will repay you according to your ways.
27. as your abominations are in your midst.
28. you will know I YHVH AM smiting.
29. behold the day.
30. behold this is coming for your doom has gone forth.
31. the rod has budded.
32. arrogance has blossomed.
33. violence has grown by the rod of wickedness.
34. none. ]
35. none of their multitude.
36. none of their wealth nor anything eminent among them.
37. the time has come.
38. the day has arrived.
39. let not the buyer rejoice nor the seller mourn.
40. for the wrath is against all their multitude.
41. indeed the seller will not regain.
42. the merchandise sold for more so they both live.
43. the vision regarding all their multitude will not be averted.
44. nor will any of them maintain his life by his iniquity.
45. blown the trumpet.
46. make everything ready.
47. but no one is going to battle.
48. for MY Wrath is against all their multitude.
49. the sword is outside.
50. the plague and the famine are within.
51. he who is in the field will die by the sword.
52. famine and plague will also consume those in the City.
53. the survivors that escape will be on the mountains.
54. like doves of the valleys all of them mourning each over his own iniquity.
55. all hands will hang limp.
56. all knees will become like water.
57. they will gird themselves with sackcloth.
58. shuddering will overwhelm them.
59. shame will be on all faces.
60. baldness on all their heads.
61. they shall fling their silver into the streets.
62. their gold shall become an abhorrent thing.
63. their silver and gold.
64. is not able to Deliver.
65. in the Day of the Wrath from YHVH.
66. they cannot satisfy their appetite.
67. nor can they fill their stomachs.
68. for their iniquity has become an occasion of stumbling.
69. they transformed the beauty of HIS Ornaments into pride.
70. they made images for their abominations.
71. their detestable things.
72. therefore I will make an abhorrent thing of them.
73. I shall Give you into the hands of the foreigner for plunder.
74. to the wicked of the earth as spoil to profane.
75. I shall also turn MY Face from them for profaning MY Secret Place.
76. so robbers will enter and profane.
77. make a chain for the Land is full of bloody crimes.
78. the City is full of violence.
79. I shall Bring the worst of the nations.
80. they will possess your houses.
81. I shall also make the pride of the strong ones cease.
82. their holy places will be profaned.
83. when anguish comes they will seek peace.
84. but there will be none.
85. disaster will come upon disaster.
86. rumor will be added to rumor.
87. they will seek a vision from a Prophet.
88. the Law will be lost from the priest and counsel from the elders.
89. the king will mourn the prince will be clothed with horror.
90. the hands of the people of the Land will tremble according to their conduct.
91. I shall deal with them as by their judgments.
92. I shall Judge so they will know that I AM YHVH.
Chapter 6 8:1
1. {{ came about in the 6th year.
2. on the 5th day of the 6th month.
3. i was sitting in my house with the Elders of Judah sitting before me.
4. the Hand of LORD YHVH fell on me there.
5. i looked behold.
6. a Likeness as the Appearance of a Male.
7. from HIS Loins and downward as the Appearance of fire.
8. from HIS Loins and upward the Appearance of brightness like the
appearance of glowing metal.
9. HE Stretched Out the form of a Hand.
10. caught me by a lock of my head.
11. the Spirit lifted me up between earth and heaven.
12. brought me in visions to the CREATOR in Jerusalem.
13. to the entrance of the north gate of the inner court.
14. where the seat of the idol of jealousy which provokes to jealousy was at.
15. behold the Glory of the CREATOR of Israel.
16. there like the Appearance which i saw in the plain.
17. HE Said son of man raise your eyes now toward the north.
18. i raised my eyes toward the north.
19. behold to the north of the altar gate.
20. this idol of jealousy was at the entrance.
21. HE Said son of man do you see what they are doing?
22. the great abominations which the house of Israel are committing here?
23. that I should be far from MY Sanctuary.
24. yet you will see still greater abominations.
25. HE brought me to the entrance of the court.
26. when i looked behold a hole in the wall.
27. HE Said son of man now dig through the wall.
28. i dug through the wall behold an entrance.
29. HE Said go in and see the wicked abominations that they are committing here.
30. i entered and looked.
31. behold every form of creeping things beasts and detestable things.
32. all the idols for the house of Israel were carved on the wall all around.
33. standing in front of them were 70 elders for the house of Israel.
34. with jaazaniah the son of shaphan standing among them.
35. each male with his censer in his hand.
36. with the fragrance of the cloud of incense rising.
37. HE Said son of man do you see what the elders for the house of Israel
are committing in the dark?
38. each male's room has his carved images.
39. for they say YHVH does not See us.
40. YHVH has forsaken the Land.
41. HE Said yet you will see still greater abominations which they are committing.
42. then HE brought me to the entrance of the Gate for YHVH's House.
43. which was toward the north.
44. behold women were sitting there weeping for tammuz.
45. HE Said do you see this son of man.
46. yet you will see still greater abominations than these.
47. HE brought me into the inner court of YHVH's House.
48. behold at the Entrance to the House {{ temple} for YHVH.
49. between the Porch and the Altar.
50. 25 men with their backs to the House {{ temple} for YHVH.
51. their faces toward the east.
52. they were prostrating themselves eastward toward the sun.
53. HE Said do you see this son of man.
54. is this too light a thing for the house of Judah to commit the abominations
which they have committed here?
55. they have filled the Land with violence and provoked ME repeatedly.
56. behold they are putting a twig to their nose.
57. I indeed shall deal in Wrath.
58. MY Eye will have no pity nor shall I spare.
59. though they cry in MY Ears with a loud voice.
60. yet I shall not listen to them.
61. HE Yelled Out in my hearing.
62. in a Loud Voice Saying.
63. draw near executioners of the City.
64. each with your destroying weapon in your hand.
65. behold 6 men came from the direction of the upper gate which faces north.
66. each with his shattering weapon in his hand.
67. among them was a certain male clothed in linen with a writing case at his loins.
68. they went in and stood beside the Bronze Altar.
69. the GLORY of the CREATOR of Israel went up.
70. from the cherub on which having been to the threshold of the House {{ temple}.
71. HE Called to the male clothed in linen.
72. at whose loins was the writing case.
73. YHVH Said go through the midst of the City.
74. through the midst of Jerusalem.
75. put a mark on the foreheads of the man sighing.
76. those groaning over all the abominations which are being committed in the midst.
77. of the others HE Said in my hearing go through the City after him striking.
78. do not let your eye have pity and do not spare.
79. utterly slay old men young men maidens little children and women.
80. do not touch any man on whom is the mark.
81. start from MY Sanctuary.
82. they started with the elders who were before the House {{ temple}.
83. HE Said to them defile the House {{ temple} fill the courts with the slain go.
84. thus they went out striking down the people in the City.
85. came as they were striking and i was left.
86. i fell on my face and cried out saying.
87. alas LORD YHVH.
88. YOU destroy the whole remnant of Israel by pouring out YOUR Wrath on Jerusalem.
89. HE Said the iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is very very great.
90. the Land is filled with blood.
91. the City is full of perversion.
92. they say YHVH has forsaken the Land.
93. YHVH does not See.
94. MY Eye will have no pity nor shall I spare.
95. I shall bring their conduct upon their heads.
96. behold the male clothed in linen.
97. at whose loins was the writing case reported.
98. saying i have done just as YOU Commanded.}
Chapter 7 10:1
1. {{ i looked behold.
2. in the expanse that was over the heads of the cherubim.
3. something like a deep-blue stone in appearance.
4. the resembling of a Throne appeared above them.
5. HE Spoke to the male clothed in linen.
6. Saying enter between the whirling wheels under the cherubim.
7. fill your hands with coals of the fire from between the cherubim.
8. scatter them over the City.
9. he entered in my sight as the cherubim were standing on the right side
of the House {{ temple}.
10. the male entered and a Cloud filled the Inner Court.
11. the GLORY of YHVH went up from the cherub to the threshold of the
House {{ temple}.
12. the House {{ temple} was filled with a Cloud.
13. the court was filled with the Brightness from the GLORY of YHVH.
14. the sound of the wings of the cherubim was heard as far as the outer court.
15. like the Voice of GOD.
16. like the ALMIGHTY when HE Speaks.
17. came-about HE Commanded the male clothed in linen.
18. Saying take fire from between the whirling wheels from between the cherubim.
19. he entered and stood beside a wheel and the cherub stretched out his hand.
20. from between the cherubim to the fire which was between the cherubim taking some.
21. put this into the hands of the one clothed in linen.
22. who took this and went out.
23. the cherubim appeared to have the form of a male's hand under their wings.
24. as i looked behold.
25. the 4 wheels beside the cherubim were as 1 wheel beside each cherub.
26. the appearance of the wheels was like the gleam of a tarshished stone.
27. as for their appearance all 4 of them had the same likeness.
28. as if 1 wheel were within another wheel.
29. they moved going in their 4 directions without turning as they went.
30. they followed in the direction which they faced without turning as they went.
31. their whole body their backs their hands their wings and the wheels
were full of eyes all around.
32. the wheels belonging to all 4 of them.
33. the wheels were called in my hearing the whirling wheels.
34. each 1 had 4 faces for the 1st face was the face of a cherub the 2nd face
was the face of a male the 3rd the face of a lion the 4th the face of an eagle.
35. the cherubim rose up.
36. they are the living beings that i saw by the river chebar.
37. as the cherubim moved the wheels would go beside them.
38. also when the cherubim lifted up their wings to rise from the ground the
wheels would not turn from beside them.
39. when the cherubim stood still the wheels would stand still.
40. as they rose up the wheels would rise with them for the spirit of the
living beings was with them.
41. the GLORY of YHVH departed from the threshold of the House {{ temple}.
42. Stood over the cherubim.
43. as the cherubim departed by lifting their wings.
44. rising up from the earth in my sight with the wheels beside them.
45. they stood still at the entrance of the east gate of YHVH's House.
46. the GLORY of the CREATOR of Israel hovered over them.
47. these are the living beings that i saw beneath the CREATOR of Israel
by the river chebar.
48. i knew the cherubim.
49. each 1 had 4 faces and each one 4 wings.
50. beneath their wings was the form of human hands.
51. as for the likeness of their faces they were the same faces whose
appearance i had seen by the river chebar.
52. each 1 went straight ahead.
53. the Spirit lifted me up and brought me to the east gate of YHVH's House
{{ which faced eastward}
54. behold 25 men at the entrance of the gate.
55. among them i saw jaazaniah son of azzur and pelatiah son of benaiah.
56. the leaders of the people.
57. HE Said son of man these are the men who devise iniquity.
58. giving evil advice in this City.
59. who say this is near to build houses.
60. for this is a pot and we are the flesh.
61. therefore Prophesy against them son of man Prophesy.
62. the Spirit of YHVH fell upon me and Said.
63. say thus Says YHVH so you think house of Israel for I Know your thoughts.
64. you have multiplied your slain in this City by filling the streets.
65. therefore thus Says LORD YHVH.
66. your slain whom you have laid in the midst of the City are the flesh.
67. this is the pot but I shall bring you out of this.
68. you fear a sword so I will bring a sword upon you.
69. LORD YHVH Declares.
70. I shall bring you out of the midst of the City.
71. I shall deliver you into the hands of strangers.
72. Execute Judgments against you.
73. you will fall by the sword.
74. I shall Judge you to the border of Israel.
75. so you shall know that I AM YHVH.
76. this will not be a pot for you.
77. nor will you be flesh in the midst.
78. I shall Judge you to the border of Israel.
79. thus you will know that I AM YHVH.
80. you have not walked in MY Statutes.
81. nor have you executed MY Ordinances.
82. you have acted according.
83. to the ordinances of the nations around you.
84. came as i prophesied that pelatiah son of benaiah died.
85. i fell on my face and cried out with a loud voice.
86. saying alas LORD YHVH.
87. will YOU bring the remnant of Israel to a complete end?}
Chapter 8 11:14
1. the Word from YHVH came to me Saying.
2. son of man your brothers your relatives your fellow exiles and
the whole house of Israel.
3. all to whom the inhabitants of Jerusalem have said.
4. go far from YHVH this Land has been given to us as a possession.
5. therefore say thus Says LORD YHVH.
6. though I had removed them far away among the nations.
7. though I had scattered them among the countries.
8. I was a Sanctuary for them a little while in the countries where they had gone.
9. therefore say thus Says LORD YHVH.
10. I shall gather you from the peoples.
11. assemble you out of the countries among which you have been scattered.
12. I shall Give the Land of Israel.
13. as they come there they will remove all the detestable things.
14. all the abominations.
15. I shall Give them 1 heart and shall put a new spirit within them.
16. I shall take the heart of stone out of their flesh and Give them a heart of flesh.
17. that they may walk in MY Statutes by keeping MY Ordinances.
18. by doing Them they will be MY People and I shall be their GOD.
19. as for whose hearts go after detestable things and abominations.
20. I shall bring their conduct down on their heads Declares LORD YHVH.
