DEUTERONOMY
Chapter 1 ( part 1 )
1. these are the words which Moses spoke to all Israel across the jordan
in the wilderness,
2. in arabah opposite suph between paran and tophel by laban.
3. to hazeroth and dizahab is an 11 days journey from Horeb,
4. by the way of mount seir and kadesh-barnea.
5. came in the 40th year,
6. on the 1st day of the 11th month.
7. Moses spoke to the children of Israel,
8. according to all YHVH Commanded.
9. after he had defeated sihon the king of the amorites,
10. who lived in heshbon.
11. and og the king of bashan who lived in ashtaroth and edrei,
12. across the jordan in the land of moab.
13. Moses undertook to expound this Law,
14. saying YHVH the CREATOR Spoke to us at Horeb,
15. Saying you have stayed long enough at this Mountain,
16. turn and set for a journey.
17. go to the hill country of the amorites,
18. to all their neighbors in arabah and in the hill country.
19. in the lowland and in negev and by the seacoast and the Land of the canaanites,
20. to lebanon as far as the great river. {{ river euphrates.}
21. see HE has placed the Land before you,
22. so go in and possess the Land.
23. which YHVH Swore to Give to our fathers,
24. to Abraham Isaac Jacob and their descendants after them.
25. i spoke to you at that time saying,
26. i am not able to bear you alone.
27. YHVH the CREATOR has multiplied you,
28. behold you are this day as the stars of heaven for a multitude.
29. may YHVH the CREATOR of our fathers increase you a 1000-fold more,
30. the Blessing just as HE Promised.
31. how can i alone bear the load?
32. the burden of you and your strife?
33. choose wise and discerning and experienced men from your tribes,
34. i will appoint them as your heads.
35. you answered me saying,
36. the thing which you have said to do is good.
37. so i took the heads of your tribes,
38. the wise and experienced men and appointed them heads over you,
39. leaders of 1000's and of 100's,
40. of 50's and of 10's as officers for your tribes.
41. i charged your judges at that time,
42. saying hear-cases between your fellow countrymen.
43. judge righteously between a male and his fellow countryman,
44. or the alien who is with him.
45. you shall not show partiality in judgment,
46. you shall hear the small and the great alike.
47. you shall not fear man for the Judgment is the CREATOR's,
48. the case that is too hard you brought to me and i heard.
49. i commanded you at that time all the things you should do,
50. we set out from Horeb and went through all that great and terrible wilderness.
51. which you saw on the way to the hill country of the amorites,
52. just as YHVH our CREATOR Commanded us we came to kadesh-barnea.
53. i said you have come to the Hill Country of the amorites,
54. which YHVH our CREATOR is about to Give us,
55. see YHVH your CREATOR has placed the Land before you to go up and
take for a possession.
56. as YHVH the CREATOR of your fathers Spoke do not fear or be dismayed.
57. all of you approached me saying,
58. let us send men before us to search out the Land for us.
59. bring back to us word of the way by which we should go up,
60. and the cities which we shall enter.
61. the thing pleased me and i took 12 of your men,
62. 1 male for each tribe.
63. they turned and went up into the Hill Country,
64. they came to the valley of eshcol to spy out.
65. they took fruit of the Land in their hands and brought down to us,
66. they brought us back a report saying this is good Land which YHVH our
CREATOR is about to Give us.
67. yet you were not willing to go up,
68. but rebelled against the Command of YHVH your CREATOR.
69. you grumbled in your tents,
70. saying because YHVH hates us HE has Brought us Out of the Land of egypt.
71. to Deliver us into the hand of the amorites and destroy us,
72. where can we go up?
73. our brethren made our hearts melt,
74. saying the people are bigger and taller than we.
75. the cities are large and fortified to heaven,
76. besides we saw the sons of anakim there.
77. i said do not be shocked nor fear them,
78. for YHVH your CREATOR is WHO goes before you.
79. HE HIMSELF fights on your behalf,
80. just as HE Did for you in egypt before your eyes.
81. as in the wilderness where you saw how YHVH your CREATOR carried you,
82. just as a male carries his son.
83. in all the way which you have walked,
84. until you came to this place.
85. thru all this you did not trust YHVH your CREATOR,
86. WHO goes before you on your way.
87. to seek out a place for you to encamp,
88. Fire by night and a Cloud by day to show you the way in which you should go.
89. YHVH Heard the sound of your words,
90. in HIS Angry HE took an Oath.
91. Saying not 1 of these men from this evil generation,
92. shall see the Good Land.
93. which HE Swore to Give your fathers.
94. except Caleb the son of Jephunneh he shall see,
95. to him and to his sons HE will Give the Land on which he has set foot,
96. because he has followed YHVH fully.
97. YHVH was Angry also on your account,
98. Saying not even i shall enter there.
99. Joshua the son of Nun who stands before you he shall enter there,
100. encourage him for he shall cause Israel to enter.
101. your little ones of who you said would become a prey,
102. your sons who this day have no knowledge of good or evil shall enter there.
103. I will Give to them and they shall possess,
104. as for you turn around and set out for the wilderness by the way to the red sea.
105. you answered saying to me we have sinned against YHVH,
106. we will indeed go up and fight just as YHVH our CREATOR Commanded us.
107. every male of you girded on his weapons of war,
108. regarded as easy to go up into the Hill Country.
109. YHVH Said,
110. say to them do not go up nor fight.
111. for I AM not among you,
112. lest you are defeated before your enemies.
113. so i spoke to you,
114. but you would not listen.
115. instead you rebelled against the Command of YHVH,
116. you acted presumptuously and went up into the Hill Country.
117. the amorites who lived in that Hill Country,
118. came out against you.
119. chased you as bees do,
120. crushing you from seir to hormah.
121. you returned and wept before YHVH,
122. YHVH did not Listen to your voice nor give ear to you.
123. so you remained in kadesh many days,
124. for days you spent there.
Chapter 1 ( part 2 ) 2:1
125. we turned and set out for the wilderness by the way to the red sea,
126. YHVH Spoke to me circled mount seir for many days.
127. YHVH Spoke to me Saying you have circled this mountain long enough,
128. turn north.
129. command the people saying you will pass through the territory of your brothers,
130. the sons of Esau who live in seir.
131. they will be afraid of you,
132. be very careful.
133. do not provoke them,
134. for I will not give you any of their land.
135. not even a footstep,
136. because I have Given mount seir to Esau as a possession.
137. you shall buy food from them with money for you to eat,
138. you shall also purchase water from them with money for you to drink.
139. YHVH your CREATOR Blesses you in all you have done,
140. HE has known your wanderings through this great wilderness these 40 years.
141. YHVH your CREATOR has been with you and you have not lacked a thing,
142. we passed beyond our brothers the sons of Esau who live in seir.
143. by way of the arabah the road away from elath and ezion-geber,
144. we turned and passed through the way of the wilderness to moab.
145. YHVH Said do not harass moab nor provoke them to war,
146. for I will not give you any of their land as a possession.
147. because I have Given ar to the sons of Lot as a possession, ]
148. {( the emim lived there formerly.
149. a people as great numerous,
150. tall as the anakim.
151. like the anakim they are also regarded as rephaim,
152. the moabites call them emim.
153. the horites formerly lived in seir,
154. the sons of Esau dispossessed them.
155. destroyed them from before them,
156. settled in their place.
157. just as Israel did in the Land,
158. their possession which YHVH gave to them )}
159. {{ now arise and cross over the brook zered yourselves,
160. as we crossed over the brook zered.}
161. the time we took to come from kadesh-barnea,
162. until we crossed over the brook zered was 38 years.
163. until all the generation of the men of war perished from within the camp,
164. as YHVH had Sworn to them.
165. moreover the Hand of YHVH was against them,
166. to destroy them from within the camp until they all perished.
167. came when all the men of war had finally perished from among the people,
168. YHVH Spoke to me Saying you shall cross over ar the border of moab today.
169. when you come opposite the sons of ammon,
170. do not harass them nor provoke them.
171. for I will not give you any of the land of the sons of ammon as a possession,
172. because I have Given to the sons of Lot as a possession.
173. {( also regarded as the land of the rephaim,
174. rephaim formerly lived in.
175. the ammonites call them zamzummin,
176. a people great and numerous.
177. tall as the anakim,
178. YHVH destroyed them before them.
179. they dispossessed them to settle in their place,
180. just as HE Did for the sons of Esau who live in seir.
181. when HE destroyed the horites from before them,
182. they dispossessed them to settle in their place.
183. even to this day the avvim who lived in villages as far as gaza,
184. the caphtorim who came from caphtor destroyed them to live in their place )}.
185. arise and set out and pass through the valley of arnon,
186. look I have Given sihon the amorite king of heshbon and his Land into your hand.
187. begin to take possession,
188. contend with him in battle.
189. this day I will begin to put the dread and fear of you,
190. upon the peoples everywhere under the heavens.
191. who when they hear the report of you,
192. shall tremble and be in anguish because of you.
193. i sent messengers from the wilderness of kedemoth,
194. to sihon king of heshbon with words of peace.
195. saying let me pass through your Land,
196. we will travel only on the highway and not turn aside to the right or
to the left.
197. you will sell me food for money that i may eat,
198. give me water for money to drink.
199. only let me pass through on foot.
200. just as the sons of Esau who live in seir and the moabites who live
by ar did for me.
201. until i cross over the jordan,
202. into the Land which YHVH our CREATOR is Giving to us.
203. sihon king of heshbon was not willing for us to pass through his Land,
204. for YHVH your CREATOR hardened his spirit.
205. made his heart obstinate.
206. in order to Deliver him into your hand as HE will today.
207. YHVH Said to me see I have begun to Deliver sihon and his land over to you,
208. begin to occupy and possess his land.
209. sihon with all his people came out to meet us in battle at jahaz,
210. YHVH our CREATOR Delivered him over to us.
211. we defeated him with his sons and all his people,
212. we captured all his cities at that time.
213. utterly destroyed the men women and children,
214. at every city we left no survivor.
215. we took only the animals as our booty,
216. the spoil of the cities is what we captured.
217. from aroer which is on the edge of the valley of arnon,
218. from the city which is in the valley even to gilead.
219. there was no city that was too high for us,
220. YHVH our CREATOR Delivered all over to us.
221. only you did not go near to the land of the sons of ammon,
222. all along the river jabbok.
223. to the cities of the hill country,
224. wherever YHVH our CREATOR had Commanded us.
Chapter 1 ( part 3 ) 3:1
225. we turned and went up the road to bashan,
226. og king of bashan with all his people came out to meet us in battle at edrei.
227. YHVH Said do not fear him,
228. for I will Delivered him and all his people and his land into your hand.
229. do to him just as you did to sihon,
230. the king of the amorites who lived in heshbon.
231. YHVH our CREATOR Delivered og,
232. also king of bashan with all his people into our hand.
233. we smote them until no survivor was left,
234. we captured all his cities at that time.
235. there was not a city which we did not take,
236. 60 cities all the region of argob in the kingdom of og in bashan.
237. all these were cities fortified with high walls gates and bars besides
a great many unwalled towns.
238. we utterly destroyed them as we did to sihon king of heshbon.
239. utterly destroying the men women and children of every city,
240. all the animals and the spoil of the cities we took as our booty.
241. thus we took the Land at that time from the hand of the 2 kings,
242. the amorites who were beyond the jordan.
243. from the valley of arnon to mount hermon,
244. {( sidonians call hermon sirion and the amorites say senir )}
245. all the cities of the tableland,
246. all gilead.
247. all bashan as far as salecah and edrei,
248. the cities of the kingdom of og in bashan.
249. {( only og king of bashan was left of the remnant of the rephaim,
250. behold his bedstead was an iron bedstead.
251. in rabbah of the sons of ammon,
252. the length 9 cubits and width 4 cubits by ordinary cubit )}
253. we took possession of this land at that time at aroer,
254. which is by the valley of arnon.
255. half the hill country of gilead and their cities,
256. i gave to the Reubenites and to the Gadites.
257. the rest of gilead and all bashan,
258. the kingdom of og.
259. i gave to the half-tribe of Manasseh,
260. all the region of argob.
261. {( concerning all bashan is called the Land of rephaim
262. Jair the son of Manasseh took all the region of argob
263. as far as the border of the geshurites and the maacathites
264. calling this bashan after his own name
265. havvoth-jair as is to this day )}
266. to Machir i gave gilead. ]
267. to the Reubenites and to the Gadites i gave from gilead,
268. even as far as the valley of arnon to the middle of the valley.
269. as a border as far as the river jabbok,
270. to the border of the sons of ammon.
271. the arabah also to the jordan,
272. as a border from chinnereth.
273. even as far as the sea by the arabah to the Salt Sea,
274. to the foot of the slopes of pisgah on the east.
275. i commanded you at that time,
276. saying YHVH your CREATOR has Given you this Land to possess.
277. all you valiant men shall cross over,
278. armed before your brothers the sons of Israel.
279. your wives and your little ones and your livestock,
280. {( i know that you have much livestock )}
281. shall remain in your cities which i have given you,
282. until YHVH Gives rest to your fellow countrymen.
283. they also will possess the Land which YHVH your CREATOR will Give
them beyond the jordan,
284. then return every male to his possession which i have given you. ]
285. i commanded Joshua at that time,
286. saying your eyes have seen all YHVH your CREATOR has Done to these 2 kings.
287. YHVH shall Do to all the kingdoms into which you are about to cross,
288. do not fear them for YHVH your CREATOR is the One Fighting for you.
289. i also pleaded with YHVH at that time,
290. saying LORD YHVH YOU have begun to show YOUR Servant YOUR Greatness
and YOUR Strong Hand.
291. for what GOD is there in heaven or on earth,
292. who can do such Works and Mighty Acts as YOURS'?
293. let me i pray cross over and see the fair Land that is beyond the jordan,
294. that Good Hill Country of Lebanon.
295. YHVH was Angry with me on your account for you would not listen to me,
296. YHVH Said enough speak to ME no more of this matter.
297. go up to the top of pisgah and lift up your eyes,
298. to the west north south and east.
299. see with your eyes,
300. for you shall not cross over this jordan.
301. charge Joshua and encourage him,
302. strengthen him for he shall go across as the Head of this people.
303. he shall give their Inheritance in the Land which you see,
304. we remained in the valley opposite beth-peor.
Chapter 1 ( part 4 ) 4:1
305. Israel listen to the HIS Statutes and Judgments,
306. which i am teaching you to perform Them in order for you to live.
307. go in and take possession of the Land,
308. which YHVH CREATOR of your fathers is Giving you.
309. you shall not add a word,
310. to which i am commanding you.
311. nor take away,
312. but keep the Commandments from YHVH your CREATOR which i command you.
313. for your eyes have seen,
314. what YHVH has Done in the case of baal-peor.
315. for all the men who followed baal-peor,
316. YHVH your CREATOR has destroyed them from among you.
317. you who held fast to YHVH your CREATOR,
318. you are alive today every one of you.
319. see i have taught you HIS Statutes and Judgments,
320. just as YHVH my CREATOR Commanded me.
321. do thus in the Land where you are entering to possess,
322. so keep and do Them for that is your wisdom and your understanding
in the sight of the peoples.
323. those who will hear all these Statutes,
324. will say surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.
325. for what great nation is there that has a creator so near,
326. as is YHVH our CREATOR whenever we call on HIM?
327. or what great nation is there that has Statutes and Judgments
for Righteousness,
328. as this whole Law which i am setting before you today?
329. only give heed to yourself and keep your soul diligently,
330. lest you forget the things which your eyes have seen.
331. lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life,
332. but make them known to your sons and your grandsons.
333. the day you stood before YHVH your CREATOR at Horeb,
334. when YHVH Said to me assemble the people to ME.
335. that I may let them hear MY Words,
336. so they may learn to fear ME all the days they live on the earth
and teach their children.
337. you came near and stood at the foot of the Mountain,
338. the Mountain burned with fire and the very heart of the heavens
were darken a Cloud of thick gloom.
339. YHVH Spoke to you from the midst of the Fire and you heard the
Sound of HIS Words,
340. you saw No Form only a Voice.
341. HE Declared to you HIS Covenant which HE Commanded you to perform,
342. the 10 Commandments HE Wrote on 2 Tablets of stone.
343. YHVH Commanded me at that time to teach you HIS Statutes and Judgments,
344. that you might perform Them in the Land where you are going over to possess.
345. watch yourselves carefully since you did not see any Form on that Day,
346. YHVH Spoke to you at Horeb from the midst of Fire.
347. lest you act corruptly by making graven images for yourselves,
348. by the forms of any figure with the likeness of male or female.
349. the likeness of any animal on the earth,
350. or the likeness of any winged bird that flies in the sky.
351. nor the likeness of anything that creeps on the ground,
352. or the likeness of any fish in the water below the earth.
353. lest you lift up your eyes to heaven,
354. see the sun moon and the stars.
355. all the host of heaven,
356. to be drawn away and worship them and serve them.
357. of those which YHVH your CREATOR has Allotted,
358. of all the peoples under the whole heaven.
359. YHVH has Taken you and Brought you from the iron furnace of egypt,
360. to be a people for HIS Own Possession as today.
361. YHVH was Angry with me on your account,
362. Swore that i should not cross the jordan,
363. i should not enter the Good Land,
364. which YHVH your CREATOR is Giving you for an Inheritance.
365. for i shall die in this Land and not cross the jordan,
366. you shall cross and take possession of this Good Land.
367. watch yourselves lest you forget the Covenant by YHVH your CREATOR,
368. which HE Made with you.
369. by making for yourselves a graven image in the form of anything,
370. which YHVH your CREATOR has Commanded you.
371. for YHVH your CREATOR is a Consuming Fire,
372. a Jealous GOD.
373. when you become the father of children,
374. and your children's children have remained long in the Land.
375. they act corruptly and make an idol in the form of anything,
376. doing that which is evil in the Sight of YHVH your CREATOR so
as to provoke HIM to Anger.
377. i call heaven and earth to witness against you today,
378. that you shall surely perish quickly from the Land where you
are going over the jordan to possess.
379. you shall not live long on Land for this will be utterly destroyed,
380. YHVH will scatter you among the peoples.
381. you shall be left few in number among the nations,
382. where YHVH shall drive you.
383. there you will serve their creator,
384. the work of a male's hands.
385. wood or stone,
386. of which neither see nor hear nor eat nor smell.
387. there you will seek YHVH your CREATOR,
388. you will find HIM if you search for HIM with all your heart
and all your soul.
389. when you are in distress,
390. and all these things have come upon you in the latter days.
391. you will return to YHVH your CREATOR,
392. and listen to HIS Voice.
393. for YHVH your CREATOR is a Compassionate GOD,
394. HE will not fail you nor destroy you.
395. nor forget the Covenant with your fathers,
396. which HE Swore to them.
397. indeed ask now of the former days which were before you,
398. since the day the CREATOR Created man on the earth.
399. as from one end of the heavens to the other,
400. has anything been done like this great thing or been heard?
401. has any people heard the Voice of the CREATOR?
402. speaking from the midst of a Fire as you have heard and survived.
403. or has the CREATOR tried to go to take for HIMSELF a nation?
404. from within another nation?
405. by Trials Signs and Wonders,
406. by War and by a Mighty Hand and an Outstretched Arm.
407. by Great Terrors,
408. as YHVH your CREATOR Did for you in egypt before your eyes.
409. you were shown that you might know YHVH HE is the CREATOR,
410. there is no other besides HIM.
411. out of the heavens HE let you hear HIS Voice to discipline you
and on earth,
412. HE let you see HIS Great Fire and you heard HIS Words from the
midst of the Fire.
413. because HE Loved your fathers therefore HE Chose their descendants
after them,
414. HE Personally Brought you from egypt by HIS Great Power.
415. driving out from before you nations greater and mightier than you,
416. to Bring you in and to Give you their Land for an Inheritance today.
417. know today and take to your heart,
418. YHVH HE is the CREATOR.
419. in the heavens above and on the earth and below,
420. there is no other.
421. keep HIS Statutes and HIS Commandments which i am giving you today,
422. to go well with you and with your children after you.
423. that you may live long on the Land,
424. which YHVH your CREATOR is Giving you for all time.
Chapter 1 ( part 5 ) 4:41
425. Moses set apart 3 cities across the jordan to the east,
426. that a manslayer might flee there.
427. who unintentionally slew his neighbor,
428. without having enmity toward him in time past.
429. by fleeing to 1 of these cities he might live,
430. bezer in the wilderness on the plateau for the Reubenites.
431. ramoth in gilead for the Gadites,
432. golan in bashan for the Manassites.
433. this is the Law which Moses set before the sons of Israel,
434. these are the Testimonies Statutes and Ordinances.
435. which Moses spoke to the sons of Israel,
436. when they came out from egypt.
437. across the jordan in the valley opposite beth-peor,
438. in the Land of sihon king of the amorites.
439. who lived at heshbon whom Moses and the sons of Israel defeated,
440. when they came out from egypt.
441. they took possession of his Land,
442. the Land of og king of bashan.
443. the 2 kings of the amorites,
444. who were across the jordan to the east.
445. from aroer which is at the edge of the valley of arnon,
446. even as far as mount sion {(that is hermon)},
447. with all the arabah across the jordan to the east,
448. even as far as the sea of the arabah to the foot of the slopes
of pisgah.
449. Moses summoned all Israel,
450. saying hear Israel HIS Statutes and Ordinances.
451. which i am speaking today in your hearing,
452. that you may learn Them and observe Them carefully.
453. YHVH our CREATOR Made a Covenant with us at Horeb,
454. YHVH did not make this Covenant with our fathers but with all
those of us alive here today.
455. YHVH Spoke to you Face to face,
456. at the Mountain from the midst of the Fire.
457. i was standing between YHVH and you,
458. at that time to declare to you the Word from YHVH.
459. for you were afraid because of the Fire,
460. you did not go up the Mountain.
461. HE Said I AM YHVH your CREATOR,
462. WHO Brought you from the land of egypt.
463. from the house of slavery,
464. so have no other creator before ME.
465. you shall not make for yourself an idol,
466. or any likeness as of what is in the heavens above.
467. or on the earth beneath,
468. or in the water under the earth.
469. you shall not worship them or serve them,
470. for I YHVH AM your CREATOR a Jealous GOD.
471. visiting the iniquity of their fathers on the children,
472. to the 3rd and the 4th generations of those who hate ME.
473. but Showing Lovingkindness to 1000's,
474. to those who love ME and keep MY Commandments.
475. you shall not take the Name YHVH your CREATOR in vain,
476. for YHVH will not leave him unpunished who takes HIS Name in vain.
477. Observe the Sabbath Day,
478. keep Holy as YHVH your CREATOR Commanded you.
479. 6 days you shall labor to do all your work,
480. the 7th Day is a Sabbath to YHVH your CREATOR.
481. you shall not do any work,
482. or your son or your daughter or your male servant or your female servant.
483. or your ox or your donkey or any of your cattle,
484. or your sojourner who stays with you.
485. so your male servant and your female servant may rest,
486. as well you shall remember you were a slave in the land of egypt.
487. YHVH your CREATOR Brought you Out of there by a Mighty Hand and
by an Outstretched Arm.
488. therefore YHVH your CREATOR Commanded you to Observe the Sabbath Day.
489. honor your father and your mother,
490. as YHVH your CREATOR has Commanded you.
491. that your days may be prolonged,
492. to go well with you in the Land which YHVH your CREATOR Gives you.
493. you shall not murder,
494. nor commit adultery.
495. nor steal,
496. nor bear false witness against your neighbor.
497. nor covet your neighbor's wife,
498. nor desire your neighbor's house and field.
499. or his male servant or his female servant,
500. his ox or his donkey or anything that belongs to your neighbor.
501. these Words YHVH Spoke to all our assembly,
502. at the Mountain from the midst of the Fire with the Cloud of thick gloom.
503. with a Great Voice HE added no more,
504. HE Wrote them on 2 Tablets of stone and Gave them to me.
505. came as you heard the Voice from the midst of the darkness,
506. while the Mountain was burning with Fire.
507. you came near to me with all the Heads of your tribes,
508. your Elders said behold YHVH our CREATOR has shown us HIS Glory
and HIS Greatness.
509. we have heard HIS Voice from the midst of the Fire,
510. we have seen today the CREATOR Speaks with male and yet he lives.
511. now why should we die for this Great Fire will consume us,
512. if we hear the Voice of YHVH our CREATOR any longer we shall die.
513. for who is there of all flesh?
514. who has heard the Voice of the Living CREATOR Speaking from the
midst of the Fire and lived?
515. you go near and hear all YHVH our CREATOR Says,
516. you speak to us all YHVH our CREATOR will Speak to you and we
will hear and do.
517. YHVH Heard the voice of your words when you spoke to me,
518. YHVH Said to me I have Heard the voice of the words of this people.
519. which they have spoken to you,
520. they have done well in all they have spoken.
521. oh that they had such a heart in them,
522. that they would fear ME and keep all MY Commandments always.
523. to be well with them,
524. and with their sons forever.
525. go say to them return to your tents,
526. as for you stand here by ME.
527. that I may Speak to you all the Commandments Statutes and Judgments,
528. which you shall teach them to observe in the Land which I Give
them to possess.
529. so you shall Observe and Do just as YHVH your CREATOR Commanded you,
530. you shall not turn aside to the right or to the left.
531. you shall walk in all the way which YHVH your CREATOR Commanded you,
532. that you may live and be well to prolong your days in the Land
which you shall possess.
Chapter 1 ( part 6 ) 6:1
533. these are the Commandments Statutes and Judgments,
534. which YHVH your CREATOR Commanded me to teach you.
535. that you might do Them in the Land,
536. where you are going over to possess.
537. so you your son and your grandson might fear YHVH your CREATOR,
538. to keep all HIS Statutes and HIS Commandments.
539. which i command you all the days of your life,
540. that your days may be prolonged.
541. Israel you should listen and be careful to do Them,
542. to be well with you and multiply you greatly.
543. just as YHVH the CREATOR of your fathers has Promised,
544. in a Land flowing with milk and honey.
545. hear Israel YHVH is our CREATOR,
546. YHVH is One.
547. love YHVH your CREATOR,
548. with all your heart and all your soul.
549. with all your might to these Words,
550. which i am commanding you today to be on your heart.
551. you shall teach them diligently to your sons,
552. talk of Them when you sit in your house.
553. when you walk by the way,
554. when you lie down and when you rise up.
555. bind Them as a sign on your hand,
556. They shall be as frontals on your forehead.
557. {{ write Them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.}
558. come when YHVH your CREATOR Brings you into the Land.
559. which HE Swore to your fathers Abraham Isaac and Jacob.
560. to Give you great and splendid cities which you did not build,
561. houses full of all good things which you did not fill.
562. hewn cisterns which you did not dig,
563. vineyards and olive trees which you did not plant.
564. as you eat and are satisfied,
565. watch yourself lest you forget YHVH.
566. WHO Brought you from the land of egypt,
567. from the house of slavery.
568. fear only YHVH your CREATOR,
569. Worship HIM and Swear by HIS Name.
570. you shall not follow another creator,
571. any of the creators of the peoples who surround you.
572. for YHVH your CREATOR is in the midst of you,
573. a Jealous GOD.
574. otherwise the Anger from YHVH your CREATOR will be kindled against you,
575. wipes you off the face of the earth.
576. do not put YHVH your CREATOR to the test,
577. as you tested HIM at massah.
578. you should diligently keep the Commandments from YHVH your CREATOR,
579. HIS Testimonies and HIS Statutes which HE has Commanded you.
580. you shall do what is right and good,
581. in the Sight of YHVH to be well for you.
582. go in and possess the Good Land which YHVH Swore to your fathers,
583. driving out all your enemies from before you as YHVH has Spoken.
584. when your son asks you in the time to come,
585. saying what are the Testimonies Statutes and Judgments which
YHVH our CREATOR Commanded you?
586. say to your son we were slaves to pharaoh in egypt,
587. YHVH Brought us from egypt with a Mighty Hand.
588. YHVH Showed Great and Distressing Signs,
589. Wonders before our eyes.
590. against egypt pharaoh and all his household,
591. HE Brought us Out from there.
592. in order to Bring us into and Give us the Land,
593. which HE had Sworn to our fathers.
594. YHVH Commanded us to Observe all these Statutes,
595. to fear YHVH our CREATOR for our good always.
596. for our survival as is today with righteousness,
597. also you be careful to Observe all these Commandments before YHVH
our CREATOR just as HE Commanded us.
